Has a deep flavor profile with multiple brews.

Drip coffee pots don't get the water  very hot and by time I get back to the table with my cup.The coffee's cold, but when you're percolated on the stove, it gets really hot and I like my coffee hot and this works great, and it's easy to clean i do recommend putting a paper filter in there. You can cut holes in the regular ones

I love my stovetop percolator. This makes delicious rich coffee. Putting coffee in an electric drip machine is wasteful.  Once you have tried this perc., you will never want to go back.  You even can use a little less coffee. Seriously folks, once you've tried "percolation", you'll see that "drip" is just colored water. With this you dont need filters either. This makes old-style diner coffee.

On the range again

I LOVED this and it survived less than a week before I tapped it against a ceramic sink while washing it and a small piece chipped off.  It is in now way a reflection on the manufacturer.  Here is what I learned.  IF you are new to using a percolator, set aside 20-25 min to make your coffee.  It is so worth the time.  Use about 1 Tbsp of grounds per cup and use a filter.  Ignore the color and bring it to temperature.  Watch the bulb on the lid.  When it begins percolating pretty consistently, reduce the temp and time it for 10 min.  Keep the temp where it keep percolating but doesn't let off a lot of steam.  IF, you have only used drip coffee makers or Keurig machines, this is going to be HOT!  Sip it...do NOT try big drinks!

I love this...then I broke it.

I like it. Though it takes the water longer tp boil (assuming your starting with cold tap water), I feel like I have more control over the strength of my coffee than with an electric percolator, and don't have to use as much coffee. I have also used it to percolate tea for concentrated iced tea -- percolate to desired concentration, then add to water to make a pitcher of iced tea.

Convenient and versatile

Bought this because all electric percolators including more expensive ones do not perk long enough. The pluses are ease of use and larger drain holes in the basket which allow the coffee to drain. Most electric percolators end up with a large puddle on top because the modern coffee grounds are meant for drip machine and pack tightly because they are ground too fine. The pot has a plastic top, not the glass pictured. The top, after a few uses will not snap in place and lift up easily, causing risk of boil over. I put a heavier glass knob in to counteract this. After a while the stem distorts, and there is no replacement part available.

Plus and minus

I've been using this coffee pot for a while, and while it makes a decent cup of coffee, the design of the plastic top is incredibly frustrating. It sometimes leaks and splashes coffee onto my stovetop and wall while percolating, and there's no consistent pattern to when or how it happens.

I've tried turning the pot lid in every direction imaginable, making sure the basket lid is secure, and keeping the heat at medium. Nothing seems to resolve the issue. It's disappointing because this could be a great coffee pot, but the unpredictable messes make it hard to recommend.

Frustrating Design Flaw

I loved that it was glass but hated the plastic coffee basket perculator. Why would you want to make coffee in a toxic plastic basket. That's not healthy and. Is toxic. I wish I bought the total stainless steal one.

I had to send it right back, the piece for it to be used on electric stoves  missing, the lid and stem appeared awfully flimsy and I question if it would have held up to boiling water. I've decided to drink tea!
