I absolutely love this lamp. I recently moved to a new house and there is no overhead light in the formal living room. The room doesn't get much natural light because of a farmers porch in front of it. I had a couple of table lamps, but they weren't putting out much light either. So I bought this medusa 5 head lamp and some Alexa compatible smart bulbs. I filled up each of the five heads and put them on full brightness and it fills the whole room with light. And-bonus-I got to point each head of the lamp in different directions to get every corner of the living room. I have it on the side of my couch and I love that it doesn't take up any room on the side table. It comes with 5 all white shades and 5 other shades for each bulb that are different color. Because I put it in my formal living room and the fact that I have bulbs that change color, I went with the white shades on all 5 arms. I plan to buy more. I'm going to put one on the other side of the couch to even things out.  I'd say, the only downfall is if you are using smart devices like smart plugs or smart bulbs, then to turn it on, you have to reach way up to almost the top of the lamp to turn it on. I've had a similar floor lamp in the past and the switch to turn it on was lower and a much easier to reach. I haven't had any luck finding any floor lamps with the switch being lower to where if one were sitting, they could just reach out and turn it on. This lamp, you have to really lift up off your seat to turn it on. But that wasn't a deal breaker for me because I'm using Alexa to control my smart bulbs.
