My toddler loves matching the animal shapes and hearing their sounds. An easy to grab knob on each piece of this puzzle makes it simple for young toddlers to play with and put together. The quality is very good, made by one of my favorite children's brands with quality materials and paints that are safe for babies. The vibrant colors, sound effects of the animals and trying to figure out which shape belongs where is highly educational and engaging for kids. Would definitely highly recommend this one!

Toddler approved. loves putting the shapes in and hearing the different animal sounds.  You do need to turn it off if the pieces aren't all placed in during storage since the puzzle is light sensitive.

Great puzzle for littles

I bought this for my grandson and he loves the sound and being able to match the puzzle pieces. The little handle makes it easy to pick up and put down.

Good old-fasioned fun for toddlers, who too often now seem to spend time on their parent's phone. Always good quality, Melissa and Doug products last for generations.

This was a Christmas gift for my 2 year old grandson.  When he opened it, he sat down and played with it for a long time.  He's very good with shapes and puzzles, and really liked the sounds each animal makes as placed in its spot.

Great for toddlers

Got it for my granddaughter  she loves that it makes sound the wood is sturdy and she can't bend it thats a plus.  It's  great for learning,strategizing with hands,mind.Great product

Stopped working after two days and the paint is coming off the animals and board as well as splinters, all of the mellissa and Doug toys are like this they break within a week and have rough un sanded edges and give splinters and the paint is super cheap and will come off so fast especially if you wipe down the toys

I have purchased this item twice. The first time it made no sounds. No batteries are included. We changed the batteries twice. The second purchase the sound stopped in less than two weeks. I have purchased Melissa %26 Doug products and was very pleased. This one was on sale for a reason! Do not purchase this puzzle.

DONT BUY THIS!

I was really excited about this Melissa %26 Doug Animal Noise Puzzle and even included it in our toddler's Easter basket, but it was a big disappointment.

Our toddler didn't seem interested, and the puzzle itself is confusing.
The pieces don't make the correct animal sounds — a smaller animal piece can be placed in a larger slot and still trigger the sound of the animal on the board, not the piece itself. The sounds also drag on and are slow, so it's hard for a toddler to match sounds to the right animal.

Additionally, the knobs are very small, which isn't ideal for little hands (and they tend to chew on them).

I usually like Melissa %26 Doug products, but this one didn't meet expectations. I'd recommend looking at other options instead.

Disappointing – not as expected

Makes incorrect animal sounds when placing pieces on the board . For example : when putting the cow piece in , the dog  barks play instead of cow mooing
