Replaced a lower price drip maker with basket filter with this maker. Fantastic purchase. Great product with great features, and it brews a great pot of coffee. I am very pleased with this purchase thus far.

I love this coffee pot.  It looks sleek and I love the design of the coffee maker.  I love the fact that it is a 12 cup pot and also that there is a lip on the carafe that stops the coffee from spilling out around the sides of the mouth of the carafe.  I would recommend it to anyone.

New Electric Coffee Maker

I just received my Melitta coffee maker today!!! Of course, I just had to try it out. What a delicious cup of coffee. It has 3 brew settings: regular, bold and robust. I used the bold setting and it was a little on the strong side, but was still a very smooth and delicious cup of coffee. I just wish they would come out with a permanent cone coffee filter. Definitely worth every penny spent. Oh...it looks great on the counter.

Good To The Last Drop

I have had a number of different coffee makers but was always on the lookout for one that would make that perfect cup. This has come close to satisfying my quest. I have used it daily for 4 months and am very happy with my purchase. It brews at a higher temp than many others and seems to enhance the coffee flavor. It's a keeper.

Great coffee--for a reasonable cost

This pot replaces a working, existing, smaller pot. It has features we do not use, such as a timer. We just pour in the water when ready and brew immediately. The filter seems to be unique (a dunce hat!) and you will need those, too, but of course WalMart has them too! Happy sipping!

Good coffee pot! Get the filters, too

I read all the reviews before I purchased this coffee maker and thought for the most part it was great. Now that I have it I'm not pleased with the coffee temperature. It doesn't make very hot coffee, and by the time I add my liquid creamer it's really not hot at all. The settings from mild to robust I don't find to make much difference in its strength either. Over all not so pleased.

Not so happy

My wife and I replaced our aging, grumpy Braun Euro-style brewer with this Melitta. We've always prefered the cone type filters and this machine is one of the very few available. It's not as noisey as the Braun . . . but the brew isn't as mellow ( same can of Folgers Columbian ) . . . even after tinkering with the 3-level brewing setting. I was a bit unhappy with the choice; ie, 12 cup with glass carrafe and hot plate OR 10 cup with stainless steel flask and no hot plate. We make two 10 oz mugs at a time, so 12 cup capacity is a bit over-kill. I've never been a fan of Starbuck's coffee, but this brewer makes coffee which is closer to Starbuck's than any previous coffee maker we've owned.
