I have 3. of these now and they are the next best thing to an.irrigatiin system! Using for the.last 3.years and no problems. Easy to program once you get the hang of it.

The sprinklers went off exactly like I wanted.

It pays to be patient when learning to program the timer. Put caps on unused valves, since they are not guaranteed to stay off due to the low power latching valve design. I wish they would put a backflow preventer in this thing. I see the price is already jacked up to $100 - not sure its worth that. Hydrologic started out with Azon at much cheaper price. $60 was a good price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like that this timer controls 4 zones.  It is easy to set a timer for each zone.  You can set each zone's timer to go off multiple times per day.  They make landscape watering so easy and convenient.  I have one for front spigot and another for back spigot.  I like that this one is a LOT cheaper than the same one that can be controlled with your phone, but I'm a senior on a fixed income.  I love the 7-year warranty.  I previously had 2 similar Melnor timers that went kaput after 6 years and were by then a phased-out product, but Melnor honored the guarantee and replaced both with this newer model which I am now using and loving more than the original version.  So, be sure to keep your payment receipt (whether in-store or online) and the cardboard insert from the plastic merchandise housing that has the item barcode,  model name and number, and warranty promise.  Also keep the instruction flyer which also elaborates on the 7-year warranty plus it has trouble-shooting guide.  This will be the 3rd season for the replacements provided by Melnor, and I am so grateful that this design model is still available and still affordable so that I can purchase one as a gift to a loved one to make their life easier too.

I LOVE this watering timer!

Great way to automate yard or plant watering!  Interface to program in times and duration is a little bit tedious but works well.  I use with energizer lithium batteries to so I don't need to change them as often.  I have two of these, one I've had for over a year and the other just got recently.  The year old one still works great and seems fairly durable in the heat and rain.  Hoping it continues for more years and now with the two I can cover my front and back yard.

Great way to automate watering

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that there are 4 spigots… however it took some time to get things set up… what is frustrating is that the manual function only seems to work on spigot %231.
This would be so much more functional if the digital screen could be read from the top! Having to disconnect EVERY TIME just to read the screen is really hard …Harder for this  76yr old to bend over and still not be able to read the screen! 
Once in place works great… 
Definitely needs a redesign for seniors!!! Bending over a faucet less than 2' from the ground and then to have the digital reader below the spigot is so so hard!

Easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i like the timer very much just didn't like had to manually open and close all the valves before it would water properly has to be manchaniclly minded to get best results would buy again

This is the 2nd I bought this season. The first one broke at the top   One of the valves has already quit working correctly on the new one (after only one use).  I reset it as directed, and it still doesn't work properly.  I have another one of these which has never given me trouble, BUT it only waters hanging baskets for a few minutes each setting.
