I bought these to replace an identical pair. I'm quite hard on my outdoor shoes, and the first pair has held up very well. I spend a lot of time outside, and a solid waterproof shoe is a must. These are very comfortable and I bought the new pair, not because I need them now, but because I didn't want to find that they had been 'discontinued' when I do.

I got these for my husband.  He loves them. He does a lot of walking and working around our property (several acres) and often doesn't need a heavy boot, but wants solid footwear.  These shoes don't have mesh, so weeds don't get stuck, and he can easily wash them off if working in muddy conditions.

These hiking shoes took me to top of Angel's Landing (Zion) and down into the Grand Canyon. They are so comfortable and look so good that the became my every day shoe. I just ordered another pair, different color.

From trail to everyday

This is my second pair. I bought the first pair for hiking but found them so comfortable I wore them almost every day. After several years of near constant wear, they're looking a little rough for work, so time for another pair. These are great for light hiking and general wear.

Back for more!

These shoes are comfortable, attractive, and always fit the way you expect. Fairly water-resistant, too, so if the rain's not heavy your feet will stay dry.

Thoroughly please with these shoes! Comfort, appearance, and light weight are the key highlight elements. First purchased the light brown; loved them so much that I bought a black shortly after.

Thoroughtly Pleased Customer

Bought them for our trip to New Zealand. I wore them a few days at work to break them in before we left. They required little break in and were very comfortable from the first second I put them on. Provided great support walking and hiking and didn't get wet although we only had some rain on few of the days.

Great shoe!!

A fine daily hiker.  The fit is good and the quality is, typical for Merrell, high end.  My only complaint is the shoe appears without significant cushioning and working in them all day definitely leaves me with some tired feet at the end of the day.  I'll probably buy an insert at some point just to provide a little cushioning.

High quality and Handsome Hiker

I love this shoe and it should be 5 stars.  It looks great and was insanely comfortable on day one.  Exactly what I was looking for.

However, it absolutely does not breath.  Within the first 2 or so hours of wearing the shoe, I could already smell it.  This was December in Virginia, so we're talking 45 degrees.  They're currently my everyday shoe.  Over the last 30 days, I've put just shy of 6 miles on them each day or about 180 miles.  I wear them for about 10 hours like any normal shoe.  From a smell perspective, this is without question the worst shoe I've ever owned.  I wear Darn Tough and Smartwool socks but it doesn't matter.  I previously wore Merrell's Freeweel 2 (awesome shoe), Salmon's XA Pro, various Sperry shoes, Garmont, and combat boots all day long.  My feet have never smelled anywhere near as bad; like different person with zero hygiene bad.  It's only a matter of time before my wife makes me stop wearing them.  This is exactly why I deliberately did not buy the Gore-Tex version.  Super disappointed.

These smell terrible! Near zero breathability!

Disappointed. I find these shoes kind of plasticy. They maķe a lot of plastic type noise when walking, running, or on the treadmill.  Also, they are not a good fit (they are on the small size) after I followed manufacturer's advice on sizing choice.)  I have had Merrells before that I was happy with, but these leave me wanting.
