My trail walking shoes are at EOF and since they don't make them anymore, I decided to go with a different brand. While walking in these feels a bit different, maybe due to the large insole, I found them comfortable and look forward to many miles with them.

Trying a new brand

Merrell

Nova 3 is an excellent shoe. Period. It has a perfect transition from heel to arch and to the front of the foot while walking. It has a well-balanced cushion and it is light. I have two pairs, one is a regular and the second is a waterproof model with Gortex fabric. Great job Merrell.
I hope that Merrell will never discontinue this great product.

A perfect shoe.

Toe box is different on this one-much more room than my previous one(Nova 3).  I also feel like the cushioning around my ankle wears out too fast.  These are my walking shoes(4-5 miles).  I put in better arch orthotics.  Overall, a good shoe!

Overall a great shoe-especially when on sale!

Didn't hold up very well, not impressed.  had bought multiple pairs thinking maybe just a one but other pairs did the same.

Not as durable as you typically get from Merrill

Really good looking shoe, very comfortable, stopped wearing when it wouldn't stop squeaking. Tried corn starch and other cheap fixes but couldn't make it stop.

Good but squeaky

Perhaps not the best for technical downhill but I can see this shoe being super versatile.  On the downhill sections of my last race I found the insole slipping forward and I ended up with some super black toenails; this might be remedied with a new lacing strategy though.  Really enjoyed the rock plate as the trail was super rocky.

Decent so we will see where they take me

This is my fourth pair of Nova 3's from Merrell. They run a little small so I go up 1/2-1 size bigger. They are great trail shoes for forest floors. These are very slippery on damp stone or wood but normal woods, leaves, and other similar debris they handle like a champ. 

I alternate with hiking and trail jogging. They hold up structurally well. The insole loses support before the shoe loses tread.

Always had good results from Merrell just not this time. Fit was sloppy in the forefoot and the insoles were shorter than the shoe. Overall was just not satisfied with this shoe

Not up to par

Your ad said shoes run large and should order 1/2 size smaller. I followed your advice and, the shoes are too tight! Essentially, non-usable without major discomfort!

Severely disappointed

Really disappointed in these shoes. I have a prior version of Merrell Novas that are very comfortable. These Nova 3's put an undo amount of pressure on the inside of your knees.  Maybe there is more padding on the outside edge of the shoes than the inside of the shoe?  Not sure, but I really wanted to like these based on my prior experience with Novas.   Bummer.
