The Metabo HPT MultiVolt rotary hammer features 260 - 590 RPM and 1420 - 2,860 BPM(Beats per Minute) with 7.7 ft-lbs of impact energy. Also, featuring reactive force control to stop rotation to ensure user safety along with a low vibration handle. MultiVolt is the first cordless-corded solution that meets the power output demand on a jobsite. MultiVolt offers the power of a corded tool, the freedom of a cordless platform and the choice to operate all MultiVolt tools with a battery or plug into an outlet. Power Level

Honestly I m a dewalt guy, 95% of the cordless tools I use daily are dewalt. I ve just had tremendous luck with them bouncing off concrete, or landing in a mud puddle. Let it dry out or brush it off and still runs today. So I have diligently been watching as brands have pushed the limits of what a battery can do. So I was excited to get one in my hands and give them a more punishing test than a representative on a calm cool 70° day. From Bosch to Milwaukee, milwaukee to dewalt the sales men kept asking me to take it easy as I leaned and bound one drill after another. I kept asking when or if there would be a corded option for the monster sized battery powered drills and such and that just turned into a sales pitch about enough batteries i wouldn t need a cord. So I ve got enough men on my crew when we start doweling bars two drills are shaking the labels off til it's done ( with a reasonable cool down period don't lose a drill because you arent paying attention to the heat radiating off it, its busting its balls for you. 
Anyway with a battery option I m guessing 20 mins max before both drills have to exchange batteries? thats 6 batteries an hour! At like $120 a battery not to mention the 20 mins of downtime while the batteries are exchanged. I was getting hot and pretty annoyed when I got to the hilti area, one of my favorites. Always out of my price range but just awesome to test drive. Walking away I saw the metabo tent and had heard that Hitachi had been bought out. The sales man said he had seen us at hilti and asked if we wanted to try the new line. I mentioned I had been interested but rather disappointed in the rotary hammer drills he didn't t say much we just walked over and he handed me the drill i torqued and bound and waited for a reaction but he was off showing the other guys more products. After a while he came back over and asked what I thought I told him it did just fine I m just not ready to commit to a battery reliant tool. Turns out they already had a corded option so when I returned to my home town I left early for work and picked one up. The battery works great for the quick access and spontaneous use, so far I haven't even needed to use the corded option but for me that just means I m doing a better than average job of getting things right. So i can live with that for now.

Bought this for spouse for Christmas,  he loves it,   It was a green Xmas this year,  so he tried it out on some rocks in the yard he has been battling with,  said it worked great,  will use it in the spring before lawnmower time,,

Great power on and off of battery so far for drilling and light chipping.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this for tile removal. It has saved my body and time. I highly recommend this for anyone who needs to make quick work of tile removal. However, I suggest owning the adapter as the tool eats the batteries very quick. Regardless, I use batteries for small projects and plug it in for large projects. It is incredibly convenient.

Excellent tool

I bought this a few months back and It paid for itself in just one Job. I was able to complete a very complex job in multiple locations in record time because of the freedom of using the battery pack. This is a versatile, powerful. not overly weighty tool that should be a must in in any Home Remodel Company. Believe me it is highly desirable and versatile, with hammer and rotary features.

Incredible Tool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used the Milwaukee cordless SDS max which is one of the closest rotary hammers with this. The Metabo would absolutely destroy the Milwaukee if put side by side no question. The ergonomics of this rotary hammer is absolutely stellar, and when I am using it all day to loosen packed dirt my hands and arms don't feel destroyed. While the batteries (4ah) do last a long time on this machine it's nice to be able to plug it in into a wall so that I am able to use the batteries in my other tools. Would definitely recommend it to anyone needing a rotary hammer, no brainer if you are already in the Metabo HPT line.

Heavy duty

This is a great tool packed with tons of power to achieve your concrete drilling and chipping needs. Battery lasts quite long and the ergonomics of the tool is also good

Great product

I work with 45 guys and our employer is upgrading all of his properties. We have been using this with the AC adapter to bust thru concrete slabs to add plumbing for showers. 
They love it.
Almost 99% of our guys use the yellow brand and when they see all my Metabo tools and I tell them how much I paid for them, their eyes glaze over.
They realize the bought the wrong brand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a decent and powerful rotary hammer until it's motor failed. I used it to break up small fence post footers with the AC adapter. It ran well for a few hours of on and off use and then it stopped working
