this bench is amazing! its a perfect match to the metropolitan dinette set I purchased at walmart.com I just want to warn you, building is either a two person job or you have to block under it to attach the sides since its a hinged top and moves when you are assembling it. a little difficult to assemble lift as there are no starter holes but it was simple to build with a second person.
sturdy, functional, fabulous! now all I need is a seat cushion.

I was very surprised to find this bench was nice and sturdy. I wanted something to "hide" all the kids backpacks as they entered the house. This is PERFECT!

For the price...great!

Two people could have done it quicker, but I was able to put this together by myself. It is sturdy and I think it will stand the test of time. Using at entry. May get another to use at the foot of a bed. I like that they included a hinge that will hold the seat open--I forget what those are called.

Sturdy, easy to set up, looks nice!

I really don't write reviews but it took less than a hour to put this together, easy! Looks great feel solid and can't believe it was only about $120. Everyone comments on how much they love it... And can't believe it's from walmart. Don't fall for the more expensive brand this is great product and looks & feels great when sitting on.

Wow! Great buy for great price!

Good deal and sturdier than I expected. I received this item just n time for a holiday party and it was exactly what we needed. Everyone (60lbs-290lbs) that sat on it was comfortable and we received several compliments. Nice set for the price and it took my husband about 30 minutes to assemble.

Nice!!!

It arrived a little late, with all the pieces, Needing assembly, but great condition no scratches, dents, warps, etc. but some of the holes for the dowels where drilled incorrectly where they wouldn't line up, so i just didn't put dowels in those, was able to get all but 2 dowels in, but i'm pretty sure the bolts will hold it up, you need 2 people to put it together, i would not recommend this to a senior, but with some time about 2-3 hours, and a great deal of patience you'll have your self a nice piece of furniture.

Hard to put together but Worth It

I love the look of this bench!  Great size and the perfect addition in my entry way.  I little tricky to put together...some of the holes did not match up which made assembly a bit difficult.  But, the overall structure and design is what I was looking for.

It's a good looking piece, but it had two scratches on the top and also one on the back.  We are not worry about the one on the back, because it's against the wall, but the one on top is noticeable.  We are not sure what to use to hide it and we can't be bother after putting it together to send it back.

Mixed feelings

Color and design is great and is sturdy enough to sit on. A chip was noticeable on the front side but was covered with a little black paint. The storage is adequate for a child but the hinges will not take a lot of stress (attached to particle board).

Overall, a nice product for the money.

I was very unhappy to find when we opened the box the bench inside was damaged. Had a broken corner and nicks in the bench itself. I only wanted it for a front hall to put shoes so I just decided to keep it. If this was for a part of my home I would see more I would have returned it.
