This is my second Netgear Meural purchase, and I couldn't be happier. The display is spectacular, and the app is very easy to work with. I have 400 photos, and I am always excited to see the next one show up.

Great! Not difficult to setup, on the larger side which is very nice for across the room viewing. Seemingly small storage 1gb (4gb cloud) but more than enough for my hundreds plus (top picks) photos. While the art feature is available, I just use it for my photography. The features are just perfect for the purposes of the frame. While on the expensive side of frames, it comes from a very good and reputable company. Wish it was less cost they would sell like hotcakes but it is worth it compared to cheaper alternatives!

Professional style photo/art frame

I got a larger one I have on my wall last summer and this is a nice addition and sits on a shelf by my bed and is nice to look at while reading in bed.  Well made, attractive and practical.  So much better than those old slideshow picture frames from years ago.  Plus if you're a member you have access to all the ancient art of antiquity and motion art and they have some good ones.  Five stars on this creation.

Best gift

Simply put, Netgear has created one of the best digital picture frames on the market. The aesthetic quality of the frame, high resolution display, and ease of setup and use. I would have given the Meural Photo frame 5 stars, but Netgear can still make some improvements...
1) Transition between photos better; the current transition looks and feels clunky
2) Support more image formats; iPhone's latest format, HEIF, is not supported!
3) Consider giving users the option to turn on some Ken Burns style photo zooming and panning; especially for higher resolution images
4) Images added to a linked album should be auto uploaded to the photo frame without you having to open the Meural app (app should run in background and do a daily upload check)

Otherwise, I'm a big fan of this Meural Photo Frame and the Meural Canvas II. Bought family members the Meural Photo Frame so we can all contribute images to our shared iCloud album and have those images appear on our photo frames!

Great, but room for improvement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a high-end product that is more than a digital frame. The actual frame is high quality and attractive and  can be placed on a table or hung on a wall. My initial thought was to hang it, yet the cord would be hanging from the frame to the outlet which is not appealing! This is important to keep in mind if your plans are to display any art (requires a costly subscription), it might be best to have an outlet installed so the cord is not visible. There were not many set up instructions provided and the app and how to use the frame was not instinctive.  It was easy to upload pictures, but you must create an album of the photos you want on your phone; you can't pick and choose from the app. The app will only let you choose premade albums. I found this to be a poorly implemented feature of this product. However, it does hold a lot of pictures.  Additionally, using gestures to control the menu settings and switching photos works inconsistently. It is frustrating and my daughter has been using the app instead. The photo quality is impressive. It has full 1080 HD resolution. I felt as if I were in the photo being displayed! I like the ability to choose the speed that pictures appear, and my daughter has her favorite travel photos displaying every 10 seconds. Two of my favorite features are the auto-orientation feature which effortlessly switches between horizontal and vertical photos and being able to set the frame to turn off automatically when the lights are off and turn on automatically when the lights are on. Overall, all it's a solid frame that displays stunning snapshots. It has the potential to be much better and user friendly. Possibly an improvement with the app can correct several of its imperfections.

Stunning pic. display. Paid subscription for art.

I've had the digital frame for a few years now and the picture quality is great, but the device will not display photos stored in both landscape and portrait orientations. It displays only one or the other. Also the screen only displays a few seconds of each video stored in memory.  And the software for uploading images is slow and laborious. Feels like a 1980's app.

Disappointed and looking for an alternate frame

I've owned this for 1 year. I do not pay the monthly subscription because I only use this to display personal photos.
Cons:  NO USB or SD card slots! User can upload multiple photos at one time but must remove them one at a time which is very time consuming. Uploaded photos are not loaded in any particular order when uploading multiple at a time. 4GB max storage which is not enough especially when using high quality large photo files. This Con could be completely resolved by having a USB or SD card slot in the back. The uploading/removing photos process is so painful that I am considering buying a different photo frame and just gifting this frame to someone who doesn't change the photos on display as much as me.
Pros: No glare on screen. We have our frame in the kitchen which gets a lot of light and there has never been a glare on the screen (similar to museum glass on non-digital framed art). Colors are true to what is seen in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. Aspect ratio is perfect for the landscape photos that I shoot. Border of frame is a matte grey which is neutral and I love that.

Terrible Upload Software/Website, Very Pretty
