I purchased these solar lights because I don't have an outdoor plug. I was pleasantly surprised at how bright these lights are. A bonus is that there are several different settings such as blinking, fading, on, and a few more. I am happy with my purchase.

I have 2 strands looped around my porch banister and love it! They make it so pretty and relaxing. Have had them up for over a month now with zero issues.

Mainstay white solar rope lights

The square shaped sticky pieces to keep this lighted rope in place are invory and will look bad on my dark wood deck. Now I need to buy another item to stick this in place and am not even sure what to use. this is very frustrating. be aware before buying. as for lights, the solar power works great.

The rope light is not very flexible. It's a thin hardish plastic tubing with the wire light in it. It was very hard to straighten and keep unrolled and came with lots of kinks. The plastic tubing was actually stuck together in one spot and tore a small hole in the tube. 
Lights up nice and the solar panel is nice but if you are expecting to be able to lay this flat/straight or wrap is around something then I would not recommend this product. I bought it to run along a fence and it is so kinked from the packaging that it doesn't look good in daylight, im sure it will look pretty at night though.

Plastic rope is stiff

Price-wise, it's good. However, the clear plastic cover on the bulbs are difficult to twist into place and get out of shape quickly. It's coiled up in the box and when you try to straighten it to help untangle it, it flattens and becomes a big mess of a rope.  It was also a challenge stapling it into the mulch (where I intended it to go). Kept springing up back to a coil or wave or twist or whatever ugly shape it preferred to be in. Youre better off buying the string fairy or globe lights kind.

Difficult and Wonky.

They looked beautiful when finally ínstales but don't last very long.  I think they lasted about 2-3 months only. Not sure if this is something not is not to be used daily and only turned on once in a while.

This rope light is not nearly the quality that I was expecting it to be and it doesn't hold a light on it acts like it cuts in and out like there's a loose wire somewhere.

These Solar lights have been charging for two days in full sun %26 will not turn on at dark. We've tried pushing the on/off button several times, in the dark, both nights. Still will not come on. Will not buy again or recommend!

Won't Work

I put these in direct sunlight all day long. After a couple of hours they dim and before sunrise they're dead.  Tried every setting and same results. I will not purchase again and do not recommend.
