This small sewing machine can handle big or small projects alike! It has the ability to do all your sewing needs with ease and fast precision! My son and I love it. I bought two. One for him and one for myself. Before buying this machine my son had never sewed anything and thought of sewing as feminine. Now he sees opportunity to create amazing outfits! Maybe one day he will be the next designer?
Who would have thought this tiny machine could inspire this young man who just turned 21!

Tiny machine big projects

I am amazed at how well this little machine works. I used it for a sweatshirt project for my niece. It comes ready to use with white thread which was great to learn how to thread the machine as well as it being ready to use right out of the box. It comes with a foot pedal also!
Its small but Im only using it for small projects, pillows, crafts, ect. It performed well with thicker sweatshirt material even tho its a small machine. I was pleased with this purchase, esp the great value and price! I didnt want an expensive machine for as much as i would be using it.

I am very pleased with this little machine!

I,m a old guy and never sewed anything in all  my years besides a button on a shirt a few times...but, this little machine really outpreformed my expectations. First look it seems like a toy,but it's no toy. I bought it for putting a hem on some jeans and it worked flawlessly after I read the instructions and watched a couple of YouTube videos. Next, I thought I'd attempt making some cafe curtains out of a flat sheet I got at Walmart.( See pics). I'm pretty proud of what I turned out and think almost anyone can do    the same or similar with this fine little machine.

Better than expected

I got this machine for doing small projects, simple sewing. I have made myself and my daughter a skirt and several purses with minimal trouble. The machine is very easy to use. My biggest complaint is that the thread breaks more often with this machine than it does with my regular full size brother sewing machine. Two improvements that would make this a perfect simple machine would be that 1) it needs a light (it is difficult for me to see the needle to thread it, so I have used a small flashlight to provide a light) and 2) it has no reverse (I manually stitch a few stitches with the wheel to secure my stitches). Overall, the simple chain stitch is fine and the machine is consistent and works very well. The electric scissors that come with it are Amazing though, very easy to use, very quick! The Accessory bundle is a standard sewing notion bundle, it has many many different bobbin colors in it, and I like that, because I hate winding bobbins lol.

Great small machine.

My daughter opened this on Christmas morning and started right away making a pillow for her dog. It is fairly easy to use. The tension is a little tight but adjusts easily. The only thing she didn't like was the scissors. The automatic scissors won't cut anything nor will the little pair in the kit, but she has her own pair of scissors that work great so she is very happy. I would recommend this product to anyone that has a child that wants to learn to sew. :o)

My daughter loves it!

I was skeptical about this product when I first picked it up because it was so light-weight, but I found that weight and size is not a factor for being able to sew simple things adequately. I love that I can bring it upstairs and downstairs easily and that it doesn't take up space. The spool lever on top extends to fit regular sized spools of thread. The bobbin winding took a while to figure out because I wasn't turning the bobbin pin as I was pushing in on it to try to get it extended. I had to rest the thread on top of the tension until I was finished threading though everything and with every time I needed to pull more top thread out. Then I need to remember to pull apart the tension pieces to get the thread in the correct position, otherwise, the thread would fall off the tension wheel. I tried loosening the tension wheel, but it didn't seem to make a difference.

Pros: it works!, it's cost-effective, light-weight, space-saving

Cons: no light; the tension is bothersome; couldn't figure out how to back-stitch, so I just turned the cloth around.

It does the job!

This product is excellent for little jobs. I am actually quite impressed with how much I have been able to do. I have made hats, scratch mittens, barbie clothing, and repaired cloth diapers. It has sewn through fleece, thick velcro, and jean for me so far. I have not had to adjust the tension, although I have had the string snap once. The only downside is it is meant for smaller hands and small projects, which means small working space, but I have learned how to work with it to get som larger things done. I have not used the scissors yet, but I am sure they will work great as well.

Great Sewing Machine for Small Projects/Beginners

I know (knew) NOTHING about sewing. I bought this small sewing machine to learn and to try out basic sewing. I use it to sew holes in clothes and do little projects (like a little felt monster (picture attached), birthday banner, etc) using felt and other fabics. It works perfectly. It is small, so its a little hard fitting a big shirt, blanket, etc., but I make it work. I recommend this to all beginners. I'll upgrade once I get better, but for now, this is great and very easy to use.

Awesome little thing!

This little guy didn't work for the project I bought it for.  Which is , flannel receiving blankets.
 It would probably be fine for more light weight fabric, or fewer layers. This project is with a double fold hem, so 4 layers to sew through, which is easy for a larger more traditional machine.

Not right for this

I bought so many items in Walmart.com and normally give ratings of 4 stars on average but this is the first time that I am so disappointed why Walmart would even consider selling this product. Bought this as a gift for mom but had to test it first. It doesn't sew right on light fabrics (drapery lining, silk, faux silk, lace, linen), even after adjusting the tension (tighter or looser), followed the instructions to a tee, searched online, watched demo videos but to no avail. Returned the item and went and purchased a Brother instead.

Totally disappointed
