It constantly refocuses so it is clear, then blurry, then clear, then blurry when you skype. When it is clear is comes in good.

I tried installing this on an older machine with Windows XP SP2. The driver for the audio didn't load (it may have been because of the audio hardware built into the machine). When I ran the troubleshooter, it told me to install SP3, which I did. That didn't fix the problem.

On a newer machine (Lenovo ThinkCenter), it connected both video and audio promptly with no problems. I use this as a video and audio capture for recording software demonstrations and physics lab demos using Tegrity. It works very well and the price is right.

If you use it as a webcam for Skype, you can't position it to both look at the screen and appear to be looking at the camera. The wide-angle perspective is huge, so any looking away from the camera is amplified. If the camera is at the top of your screen and you look at the center of the screen, it appears that you are staring at the bottom of the computer. The clarity of the image and voice, however, are great. Microphone is sensitive. for some people it may pick up too much. It definitely gets the click of the keyboard.

Overall, a good product for budget productions of software demos and for Skype.

The Lifecam Cinema webcam is an excellent webcam for video chat.It also makes very good home videos if thats what you want it for.Overall for the price you can't beat it.

Cam was great and even has an adjustment for brightness and efx.
It stopped working and gave me a reading of no cam even after I re installed the software .
I have a laptop cam and wanted this for my pc so now its anyone guess what to do. Wal mart took it back and by all means by the insurance.

It stopped working five days after I bought it

My brother sent me this cam he bought it on line. It came with refurbished no software or original box other features. We knew because he has one. Called and got a replacement. But it also came refurbished. So we ended up returning both and buying at the store.

Would recommend to buy at the store .
