I needed s web cam for my laptop, try decided to go with the Microsoft web cam  Cinema, and I have not been disappointed. I just started using Skype when is Cameron is excellent on the imagery, I am very happy with my purchase. It's a little more money than most of the cheaper WebCams which can't go wrong with Microsoft

Microsoft lifecam

The LifeCam was great on Windows 7 but PC was upgraded to Windows 10 and that was the death song for the LifeCam.  Highly recommend for Windows 7 but not for Windows 10 and that is the sole reason for 3 stars.

The good and the bad

Does not work for Windows 10 as advertised.

Not a camera for Windows 10

I have had this camera for 5+ years and it's really funny that they are still selling it considering they don't offer previous versions of windows on their computers they sell at Walmart. After a current windows update the driver was removed and I am no longer able to install it. Compatibility mode will not fix the issue. Microsoft suggested I check with the app developer for an updated driver (oh the irony) but the driver I found will not install. So if you are purchasing with the hopes that it will work with your brand spanking new computer that has Windows 10 OS installed you are going to be in for a nasty surprise
