Made with high-end materials for durability.

This cage is amazing!! Soooooooo much space!! I'm 5"4' and its just a wee bit taller than I am. The instructions are easy to follow and I had no issue putting it together by myself. the shelving goes on easy and I LOVE the wiring under the shelves specifically designed for hanging hammocks on them. The plastic itself however could definitely be better quality though. LOVE that all four doors open all the way for easy access to the whole cage. The ramps are a bit steeper than I'd like but there isn't a whole lot I can really do about that, at least not for the center ramp. All in all though it blows my old cage out of the water in terms of size, look, and functionality.

Best cage on the market! It's a mansion!!

walmart.com

Great product kinda a pain to put together considering there were 2 parts that were bent, and had to straighten out before I could get it to fit which was hard to do. In the description it says it can be used as 2 separate cages divided in the middle, which you can do but you have to buy another full tray to divide it. So if you have male and females purchase new tray before hand.

Great product

It's easy to put together as long as you take inventory in the beginning and read the instructions thoroughly. Keep the box it comes in because that will help you to elevate for the first part of the assembly. Then after you put the wheels on of course you can set it on the ground. My husband does not like doing this type of thing so I do them by myself and I would highly recommend this product. I have two that have the pass-through utilized, two large cats in each. Their little boxes are downstairs and then they have hammocks upstairs and other sleeping areas. I have another where I have the pass-through blocked off by turning the plastic flooring around and that's for two cats that each like their own bedroom and they're pretty good size cats. They sleep in there at night and they love it. We find them there during the day just hanging out and it fits a good size large litter box and a hammock and they really love their little homes and I love it too.

Perfect for my cats.

Great cage, easy to clean when using fabric with clips for enrichment, clutter and landings! We did a custom build around it and it turned out stunning. Our rats love it!

Great cage for rats

The best and only way I'd ever cage my beautiful rats. I added another tier on top and have 4 rats. They live it and it's easy to clean and will last a lifetime.

Excellent study cage for rats

This is a great cage for rats. They won't fit through the space between bars, and there's no way they could chew through the bars. I love that there are two levels that can easily be separated if you have males and females, and the shelf under it is very helpful for keeping all of their stuff together in one place. It was kind of difficult to put together, but other than that, it's an awesome cage. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

Excellent Rat Cage

I use this cage as two cages for groups of rats. The pans in my photo are NOT included with this cage. I had to order them from another company. (The cage comes with textured flat plastic trays that do not hold litter.)

This is the best cage on the market for many types of critters, and definitely for rats. It is a heavy piece of furniture (over 100 lbs and over five feet tall), so expect to build it and leave it in place. The doors open wide for easy cleaning and easy access to pets and accessories.

It can be used as designed or you can modify it to your pets' needs. You can leave out the middle platform for a tall open cage or you can block off the middle opening to create two cages.

Some tips that will help make this excellent housing:

1. Have a rubber mallet or hammer on hand for assembly. Every unit I've bought has slightly bent pieces that need adjusted to fit together.

2. Use plastic cable ties to hold the ramps, not the included velcro.

3. Unless you plan to lay down blankets and have litterbox trained pets that don't chew, replace the flimsy plastic trays with something deeper, more durable, and easier to clean (grime sticks to the textured plastic).

Durable and heavy-duty, but the pans aren't great

Really like the cage well-made a little difficult to put together and on one part the front doors don't lineup exactly right but they still work still would buy another one

Would buy again

This is the second cage from this company and I gave it 3 stars for this. One they changed the ramps to plastic and put velcro to hold it. First it's for small animals like rats and guess what rats will chew on. Second the welding on the doors was bad one broken and the door sagged I had to fit it and when paying 250 for a cage you don't want to fix it brand new out the box. And finally it came with broken trays and they alone cost 100 dollars to replace 130 to replace them all. The broken rack could cut my rat and take toes off. The older one I had was fantastic but if they can fix this and I mean midwest not walmart they just sell it not make it. Then I will find a better company if I keep rats for years to come. It's a shame you these cages on a whole are fantastic but it they slack on the quality or making them then no point.

Disappointed on this one

The unit was not made to assemble easily. Mismatched posts and openings for them made assembling hard and in need of tweaking . Once together; the doors were not properly aligned, but all n all is useable.
I might recommend along with the knowledge of how it was put together

critter Nation

I've owned older versions of the critter nation and ferret nation cages in the past and they were great so when looking for a cage my first stop was critter nation. I love the size of the cage and the fact that the top and bottom open fully for easy cleaning. I also like that it has horizontal and vertical bars for my critter to climb on. It was difficult to put together though. Some of the pieces didn't line up right so had to be tweaked a bit to get the pegs to hit the holes. There were also several bent parts. One of the hooks on a shelf was bent so far in that you couldn't attach it. I had to get a pry bar to get it bent open enough to hang in place. The plastic trays seem a bit flimsy as well. Overall the size is wonderful, but with the price I expected better. If I could do over I might do more research before purchasing.

Huge cage, but has flaws
