[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fits perfectly in my bedroom window and helps save a ton of energy. I have central air but it really doesn't work as well as I'd like and it jacks up my electricity like crazy, while I don't even get my money's worth. I put this air unit in my bedroom because that's were I spend most of my time and I need it COLD to sleep! And now I can just keep my central off or on a higher auto temp and just use this awesome thing. It goes down to 62 F and if I choose to have it that low it still uses less energy than my central unit. It even has an energy saver feature. It has a ton of options to customize how you want your air for your most comfortable fit. And it will definitely cool down a larger room because if I leave my bedroom door open it keeps my living room comfortable too. My only complaint is the instruction manual could be clearer. I figured most of it out but I did have to go to YouTube to understand the rest. Also you will need a drill to anker part of the unit and a lock piece to the window. I do really love this air conditioner!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I popped this in a cutout on a 40ft shipping container I'm using as a workshop. Shipping containers are steel and I'm in Florida- it gets hot in there. This kept it a constant 75°, even mid day in full sun. It's nice! I used it for almost a month, about 3 weeks on one electric bill cycle, and only saw a slight rise in the amount of the bill. I plan on being totally comfortable in there throughout the summer. I can only imagine how this would work in a insulated house!

I put this one in and it took me about 30 minutes to install correctly. This unit had my room at 69 within 10 minutes. It is in our workout room and it works perfectly to keep up cool while exercising! I would recommend again and again.

It is not overly loud and would fit in a smaller window space unlike some bigger ones with the same btu. I definitely recommend this air conditioner. I did receive this product for free as part of a promotional program.

Great air conditioner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Midea air conditioner window unit is a good air conditioner. It cools the room it is in pretty well. There is taller ceiling heights which I did not take in to consideration so a bigger unit than the 6000 BTU would probably do a better job to get a really cool room.

I would buy this air conditioner again

Midea Omni Max 12K BTU air conditioner - Do not buy
I bought the Midea Omni Max 12K BTU July 18,2023 and used it 1.5 months. 2nd year used it 2 months. 3rd year it would not generate cold air. So, for $550.00 I got 3.5months usage.  Do not buy this as it's not a quality product.  Even though it only has a 1 year warranty I called “customer service” anyway.  I was pleasantly surprised when she told me to reinstall the unit and they would troubleshoot and if not successful, they would send a technician. She previously asked when it was bought. I removed my new AC unit, lugged this heavy unit back and reinstalled the unit. When I called back Medea Omni Max “customer service” said they couldn't help me. So that meant I had to remove the crappy Midea Omni Max and re-install my new one again. The Midea Omni Max is a terrible product and so is the “customer service”.  Avoid this company.

Midea OmniMax 12k BTU - don't waste your money

I got very ill and a friend told me about the recall and I pulled my ac unit from the window.  When I looked into the unit with a flashlight, I could see black mold.  Although I no longer have the unit connected or blowing, when I go into the room my eyes immediately begin to burn.  I have been told I need to replace the carpeting, the couch, and thoroughly clean my entire room to get rid of the mold that was blown throughout the room by my Midea window A/C unit. Before I discovered it was mold, my symptoms included:  dry watery eyes and a sore throat. My eyes got red and I had the chills.  I was wearing my winter jacket when it was 95 degrees.

Got Very Ill.
