I live in quite a damp place and I have tried two other dehumidifiers - both were so-so until they died after a few months of service.  This unit is a truly thirsty beast - rated for continuous duty. In my smallish living quarters it has been producing over one gallon of water every 24 hours and the relative humidity inside has now dropped to 35% (while outside it is 98).  

The other thing is that its customer support service is just as good as its gear. I had a couple of questions (one relating to the extended warranty supplied by Walmart) and the other about a flashing light on the panel that I did not understand. In both cases, an actual Human Being answered my phone call and were thorough and patient - and knowledgeable.

Cannot ask for more.  five stars, easypeasy.

Hi, so far, so good. The only issue that I've had is having to empty it every two hours ( on low. I haven't been able to drop the humidity down below 69. I'm guessing it's because in South La., the humidity is almost topped out with our weather. Although, it's only a 22 pint tray- it's made a lot of a difference Even when I come home and the tray has been full, cutting off the humidifier. Walking in after a few hours, I certainly can tell a difference. Overall, I'm pleased, I should have bought one with a larger tray, though.

Florida resident here. I didn't expect a dehumidifier to make such a difference, but the Midea 22-pint really surprised me. Since using it, I've had fewer aches, better sleep, and my home feels less stuffy. Humidity dropped from around 74% to 40% within hours. It also makes the house feel cooler without changing the thermostat. I was so impressed I bought a second one for the bedroom and bathroom. The air feels crisp, and I breathe easier with it running.

Instant Comfort - Wish I Had This Sooner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dehumidifier has been a blessing! We've been using it for over a week now and it has worked great. We actually had to empty it within the first night because it was already full of water. We put it in one of the rooms in our basement and we've had to empty it regularly every day or every other day. It's easy to use and has a digital screen. The compartment that holds the water easily slides out without spilling and is easy to carry to empty out in the sink or in the tub. I'm so thoroughly impressed with this dehumidifier that I will probably purchase another. It is a little pricey, but not cheaper or more expensive than any other on the market. It is definitely worth the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in an area that is not always very humid so I wasn't sure how effective this dehumidifier would be in removing moisture from the air in my home. After running the machine for 24 hours as mentioned in the instructions, I was amazed at how much moisture was collected from the air in my home. This dehumidifier optionally connects to your home network through the Midea Air APP that can be download from the Google Play Store. The APP does require you to create an account, but once your account is created and the APP is connected to your home network, it should recognize your device immediately after pressing the power button for three seconds. Through the APP, the dehumidifier is very easy to control. This dehumidifier has three modes: Continuous Dehumidifying Mode; Comfort Dehumidifying Mode; and Dryer Mode (Dryer). I found myself using Comfort Mode the majority of the time. This mode will automatically control room humidity based on the room's temperature. After running the dehumidifier in this mode for four hours, I collected enough moisture to fill a 20 fluid ounce cup. Although there are three drainage options, the bucket drainage option is for simple removal of fluid. If using the dehumidifier for longer periods of time, you might want to consider the water hose drainage option. Midea highlights the quietness of this dehumidifier and mentions that it is quieter than a typical refrigerator. I think this is a little exaggerated as I found the dehumidifier to be a little louder than expected; however, it is still fairly quiet and this would not prevent me from considering this device. Overall, I am very satisfied with this dehumidifier and believe it does what Midea says it will do.

Simple, Compact, and Efficient Dehumidifier!

Doing what it should. Not sure why the water holding tank has turned black and the fan had yellowed quickly.  Other then that it seems to be working properly

Just bought my Midea and I set it for 55. When it gets to 55 it shuts down. Then the meter keeps climbing to about 64 within 3 minutes. Then it starts running and it's back to 55 in minutes.  This doesn't seem normal for the humidity to climb that fast

Mine has a bulging spot on the front plastic housing. Like it got hot at the factory but It working ok I guess
