we had 2 smaller dehumidifiers, and since they didn't have water in them, i thought our house was fine. Then i rralize our windows still have so much condensation in them and our door was swelling so i thought i should look into a good one. This is a beast of a machine.  the difference is night and day.

I live in quite a damp place and I have tried two other dehumidifiers - both were so-so until they died after a few months of service.  This unit is a truly thirsty beast - rated for continuous duty. In my smallish living quarters it has been producing over one gallon of water every 24 hours and the relative humidity inside has now dropped to 35% (while outside it is 98).  

The other thing is that its customer support service is just as good as its gear. I had a couple of questions (one relating to the extended warranty supplied by Walmart) and the other about a flashing light on the panel that I did not understand. In both cases, an actual Human Being answered my phone call and were thorough and patient - and knowledgeable.

Cannot ask for more.  five stars, easypeasy.

This is a superb piece of gear

This past summer had been the most humid I've ever seen. I live in an area that was once swamp land if that says anything. 
I'm used to the humidity. This year was unbearable. This poor machine worked its weight in gold. It made my kitchen and living room bearable!  We did have to empty it about 3 to 4 times a day. The take is large but thats how humid it was here. Looking about getting one to gift now.

I bought this dehumidifier because my brother had bought one just like it and he kept telling me how much water it pulled out of the air. I decided to get this one because of his great comments and we use a lot of small dehumidifiers in closets, bedrooms and den and they fill up quickly in summer. We live in Mississippi and have had very hot temperatures with very high humidity day and night. Was very simple to set up and operate. And I was so surprised how much water it pulled from the air. The container holds about a gallon of water and I empty it 4 times a day. If I got up and  emptied it during the night it would have pulled about 5 gallons of water from our home. And our home is small—about 1500 sq. feet. It is not really noisy but you  can hear it running if on high but after a while do not pay any attention to it. Well worth buying. Very easy to empty the reservoir and I even use the collected water to water plants on the porch and in flowers beds. And in the hot dry days we have had lately that was a good use for collected water. Our indoor humidity has stayed in 50s mostly since using it. I keep set on the comfort setting and low speed. I'd you live in a high humidity area I recommend you buy this.

Buy this  if you live in a high humidity area!!!

I was simply amazed about how much humidity and moisture this thing takes out of the air in my house. I didn't think it had that much in it, but boy was I surprised. This dehumidifier does an amazing job. I keep it plugged in in the hallway and within a couple of hours the bucket is full and I empty it.

Humidifier for home use is a game changer

The dehumidifier has worked well and removes a lot of water from the air in our basement.  While noise is not an issue in that location, it is fairly quiet.  I have not used the internet/app connection capabilities, so I cannot comment on them.  Overall I have been very happy with the product.

Good dehumidifier for the price.

Midea 35 Pint Smart Dehumidifier w/ App %26 Voice Control covers 3500 Sq. ft. I tried six other dehumidifiers and none worked as well as Midea. 
It is quiet, convenient and the continuous drain option is just wonderful.

As stated in the title, the dehumidifier itself works pretty great in my basement, however in the description of this item, it states a drain hose is already included in the box, and can be used right away. This is a false claim; there are no sort of hoses in the box for drainage. Also the drain port is right above the electrical wire so if any water leaks from there, it goes straight into the wiring. Not sure if there's some sort of water prevention there, but still not ideal placement. Still worth the price in my opinion, had a spare drain hose laying around and it worked.

Works pretty great - but does NOT come with hose.

Too difficult to program this new one.  Can't easily pull out water tub and empty without spilling.  Does the job, but not happy with trying to change settings,,,wish I had my old one back.  It was simple, didn't need all the bells and whistles and apps!

WISH I HAD OLD ONE BACK

Perhaps I'm being a bit harsh but product description states " This dehumidifier also comes with an included drain hose. Simply install the drain hose and position over a floor drain or sink for a continuous drainage option." - when it does not.  I purchased this model because it was supposed to have a drain hose and dislike inaccurate descriptions and false advertising.
