Summer Cooling

It can be a little noisy at first, but I quickly got used to it and barely notice when it turns on or off now. What really matters is that it cools my room extremely well — it gets nice and cold, just the way I like it. The Auto Eco mode is a great feature too; it automatically shuts off once the room reaches my set temperature, which has helped lower my electric bill quite a bit. For reference, my room size falls within the range recommended by the manufacturer, so performance has been excellent. I can't say how it would do in a larger space, but within the suggested size range, it works perfectly.

This AC is great!

walmart.com

my son bought this air conditioner for me. When the main one in my house died on me in the middle of a heat spell. I didn't expect it to do much but I was pleasantly surprised. It is a little noisy, but not much it cools nicely. It's perfect perfectly in the window very easy to install.

It's like your basic window AC unit, and works pretty well for it's smaller size. The only complaint I have is the fact you need to install an app to use the wifi features, which is annoying because my google home should be able to access it without having to sign up for more nonsense for every wifi controlled device I own, so I don't use the feature.

Works well for it's size

This AC unit works really great for a bedroom, maybe a little too good, but with the features it has, the room temperature is controlled very well. I only had one problem; it had missing parts. They were just screws, important screws that I easily replaced, but I don't know why they weren't there. So, after that problem was solved, the AC unit was installed easily and it hasn't had any problems and it works very well.

It works great

the remote control is ridiculous it's impossible to get it on high I'm just too lazy to return it older air conditioners from this company or all the same with the crazy remote control you should try to get it on the high it's impossible I'll never buy another one from this company ever again

Much louder than the company claims. I researched for months before deciding on a unit to purchase. Perhaps I expected too much for this little AC. I definitely wanted something much quieter as the information on this air conditioner claimed. It seems to not put out as much, as it should. It is a 8,000 BTU. It seems to surge some and struggle loudly going on and off. I would not purchase this AC again. To be completely transparent I have never had an air condition window unit in my life and my review should include that information.

Works great just very noisy inside my bedroom,i have a Midea 12000 u shaped in the living room and you can not even hear it when it's on.

Midea 8000 window a/c not the u shaped

Easy install, worked well, except for one thing: the softest sound level claimed is 53 db, but at the lowest setting, and 5 feet from the unit, I was getting 59-60 db on my calibrated meter. That means if it had to work harder to cool the room it would be even louder. This was intended for a bedroom and that was just too loud. The sound level did not get down to 53db until I was at the door to the room, about 12 feet from the unit. This is the second Midea unit for me. The other--a different model and size--is actually quieter than claimed. Unfortunately I had to return it. The Walmart return process was smooth and easy.

Nice unit, just not as quiet as claimed.

I recently had knee replacement surgery. The girl that brought my air conditioner couldn't even hardly lift it. She set it down three different times and stood it on its side. I had to wait till my husband over the road truck driver came home to try to take it back and apparently they won't let us give it back because it is only for 15 days. I did not know that in the beginning or I would have waited. But I had no idea she was going to stand it on its end now I have wasted almost $300

What a waste

We live in a single size mobile home and this air conditioner does not blow out cold enough air to even cool off our living room. Very disappointed in this purchase.

Midea 8,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner front-facing view of the rectangular unit with visible electronic control panel, adjustable louvers and Comfort Sense remote. 115V, Wi‑Fi enabled with Alexa and Google Assistant support, 3 cooling modes and 3 fan speeds, cools medium rooms up to 350 sq. ft., fits 23"-36" wide windows. Often used for temporary cooling of home offices or workshops.
