Midea 8000 BTU Air conditioner.window unit

Love it very much keeps my bedroom nice and cool

The people are friendly and got me loaded in no time.   when
I got it home together and in my window.   its seems to work
well and neat I can control it via my phone and home network

seem to be a good unit

We had the lower grade Midea 5,000 btu air conditioner and it worked excellent. In fact, it cooled way beyond its recommended square footage . My mother in law was in need of a window unit, so we decided we would give her the 5,000 and we would upgrade to the 8000 BTU for the temperature control and smart use that the 5,000 did not have. This thing is so loud in comparison to the other one, and this one takes hours to cool a room down to where it's even comfortable. The smaller unit would comfortably cool my bedroom in about 15 to 20 minutes.. with the 8000 it literally takes about 2 to 3 hours before it's comfortable enough to go in and lay down. I give it three stars because once it does finally reach a comfortable temperature it does hold it at that temperature. Honestly, if it had been an item that I could have returned, I would have took it back and swapped it out for any other available air conditioner, even if I had to pick one with lower BTUs.. I would not recommend this air conditioner, and I would not buy it again.

Disappointing

The air conditioner works pretty good, however, it is loud. The installation was not that easy and when I got my air conditioner, it was already damaged in the back and it seem like it had been returned or I'm not sure, but I'm kind of unhappy with paying almost $400 for an air conditioner, that is really loud and the blades were. The air comes out. Barely even rotator move. They're very stiff and you would think that the remote would come with a button that could rotate the fan, and it has a delayed response reaction with the no matter how far you are with the side pieces are kind of made not very good either that go to the window part. They don't work on all windows at all, and I have newer windows. This machine could be a lot more efficient. I haven't got my bill yet for my energy cost, so we shall see how much of a difference it made on my bill if it was energy saver or not, but it is very loud, you can't even hear your TV, even if your TV is 2 feet away from you.. and I'm kind of upset that my product came bent in the back of the metal is in on the sides.

The quality could've been better for the price

Product was low quality. The BTUs purchased was 8000 the room I'm attempting to cool it's less than 100 ft.² square foot. Unit  is doing a poor job. The air condition has been operating for 2 1/2 hours. Room is insulated fairly well temperature in the room is still 80°.

Product quality

For a new Air conditioner it does not work well.  Very noisy and sounds like it is ready to breakdown.  The temp is only a little cooler compared to the 6,000 btu ac I had before.  Thought it would be much cooler.

AC does not work well.  Try a different model.

Would not cool a 120 sq. Ft space
Also leaked water inside anytime it rained because it did not drain properly.

This ac unit struggles to cool off my bedroom.. it's supposed to be 8000 btu.. I'm about to return this unit.. DO NOT BUY MIDEA WINDOW AC UNITS
