I have several Midland Weather Radios at home already and ordered a new one (Midland Radio - Deluxe NOAA Weather Radio) to take on the road while working out of state across the USA. I really like the backlight screen, as it serves as a nightlight in bedroom too. Used the Alarm Clock for first time this morning and set it to come on to hear the news on an AM Radio Station.  Thanks for a Great Product!

Great Multi Purpose Weather Radio

My son is obsessed with collecting weather radios. We have been very happy with Midland and all the products they have developed. I do think my house is going to shake the next time we have an alert go off because we're probably up to about 16 with the radios at this point. Shipping is fast and the company is great! He hopes to eventually work for Midland and develop new technology

Great product

I have had this product for over a week an I am very pleased with it. The only two incidences of problems I've noticed is that when setting up the radio, it glitched out for some reason and I had to take out the batteries and reset it. It is unknown to me what caused the glitch but is presumed to be the overloading of some of the inputs. I have not had this glitch since then. There is also the problem that whenever I plug the phone in with the radio turn on, I hear more static and I have to remove it in order to get clearer audio. Other than that, I have no other problems with it. The reception is excellent. The alarm feature works so nicely that I have decided to use it in place of my cell phone. I am very happy with this product.

Only minor issues

Bought this for my wife, who is running a business for us in the midwest in tornado alley. After she was surprised by a tornado siren one evening, I decided I needed her to have something that could warn her of approaching storms, etc in the area. The rado allows you to include surrounding counties as monitored areas.  Was fairly easy to set up. Wife feels more secure, now that she knows she will have early warning of any severe weather there and in  the surrounding areas

This radio was very inexpensive, yet could easily save our lives.  I have always lived in the tornado valley of Kansas.  We depend upon the city sirens to alert us.  When my wife and I go to bed, however, she turns on her sound machine, and out home is well insulated from sound.  We just don't hear the sirens.  This radio serves as my bedside clock radio, and, when alerting, raises us right out of the bed.  It is yet another quality product from a company I have learned to trust.

Great alert radio!

I really like it! I find it easy to program %26 set-up. It can be customized in so many ways.  I like that it has the specific area message encoding (s.a.m.e.) feature. The AM/FM radio adds to its versatility. I also like that it has a headphone jack.

This was a gift for his birthday!!  He set it up and loves it!! HIs other midland broke and wanted another. I couldn't replace it so I bought this one. Very very satisfied with it!!

I bought this model to replace my old radio, very impressive, love the features and the simplicity of the setup. I would highly recommend this model to anyone.

Awesome Radio

Bought for use on nightstand beside my bed.  When you are looking at LCD at an angle you can't see it that well at all.  I guess it's not good for use as a bedside clock.  The contrast is nothing like in the ad pic.  Other than that it is a great product.  Still glad I bought it but for the purpose of seeing the time I bought something else with a clock face more vertical.

Poor reception. Programming was easy, but the rx needs some help. Very difficult to gain good reception in my house. My 5w HAM handhelds have crystal clear NOAA reception sitting next to it, but this radio from it has a lot of static. Does not reliably sound alerts. Currently researching a better antenna, or may just return or sell it. It's a shame. I really like the custom programming options and the ability to turn certain alerts on and off.

Needs some work. No reliable alerts.
