I hadn't bought plated flatware before, so have been trying out one spoon in the 5-piece set for a month now under normal everyday conditions.
  The Rose Gold plating has worn off on the eating surface only, to the point where I can clearly see the stainless steel underneath the plating.
  This is unacceptable.  The set is otherwise very pretty,  but it's obvious that this set won't remain pretty. 
  And more importantly, I'm concerned about the possible health hazard of the Rose Gold plating wearing off in my food, and being ingested into my body.  
  I did some research before I bought these, but will do more of a deep dive after I return them.
  Buyer beware.
  I reached out to the seller by email today, and hope to hear from them.  I'm wondering if other buyers have had a similar problem with this flatware set.
  A call to Mikasa is also on my list.  
  I'm sorry, but I don't have a working camera on my phone, so I can't submit any photos.
