This bench is great! I wish it came with a cushion but I'm sure I will find one in my travels. My boyfriend put the bench together in no time at all -- He also used glue so it won't come apart. It looks great in my small entryway closet - just the right size! Thanks Walmart!

Nice looking bench

walmart.com

My only comment is it would be better if the package consists of leather cushion seat. The color of solid cherry wood is great. I love the kind of wood according to the specification......cherry.

Great wood.

I wanted a bench with a lower shelf for kids shoes, that I could add baskets under and a bench cushion on the top for my kids. Tired of their junk in the middle of the door. :-) This one was the right price and had that shelf for their shoes and space for medium size bins 10" tall and there's 34" to add about 3 of them under it. A 36" bench cushion is just a tad big but it works well. I added some hooks above for backpacks, coats etc. and I'm thrilled. Now just to get them to use it! LOL
I just wish the bench came with the bins and had a cushion because that added about $45 to total price. On the plus side I got to pick out my own colors so it blends into our living room against the wall.

Nice bench for what I needed

I bought this for my 11 yo son's bedroom to fit at the end of his Full Size bed. He has a dark Espresso wood furniture set purchased from Haverty's. The set did not come with a matching 'footlocker', so this fits perfectly and matches (with extra room on the floor for 2 Longerberger basket/wastebasket as bookends) quite well with his 'high end' furniture. I didn't want anything 'cheap'- looking, but, didn't want to pay high prices. I searched Pottery Barn, Mayfair, etc. and could not get the right color/size/price/options I wanted. I wanted a seat cushion that would match the blue (other color options avail) in his room and would fit on the top of the bench. I like the top cradle which secures the cushion well. Walmart had all the options AND it was cheaper than the other sites. I believe Mayfair had the same bench for about $30 more. I also bought decorative wood chalk hangs for the basket to label his "stuff" I plan to put in the baskets. PERFECT! AND, my husband did not complain when he assembled it. It was easy for him, whew! Highly recommend.

Excellent

Excellent storage bench. We needed a bench by our back door for storing shoes, winter gear, etc and this is perfect. It only comes out about 14 inches from the wall, so nice if you don't have a lot of space. The 3 baskets are roomy and nice. The bench looks more expensive than it is.

Great bench

This wooden storage bench is nicer than expected. It works great for my family and eliminates shoes laying around our entryway. The baskets are great for kids shoes, umbrellas, and hats and gloves. The shelf is great for adult shoes. Once my kids shoes no longer fit in the baskets - you can remove the baskets and use the shelf for shoes. I was a little skeptical after reading some of the reviews - but for the price - it is a great bench. I took the advice of another reviewer and placed some felt chair pads on the bottom of the baskets to prevent scratching which worked great. I just wish it came with a cushion.

This bench exceeded my expectations. It's smaller than one might imagine, but for my purposes it was perfect. My other criticism about this product would be the baskets that accompany it. They are cute, but the wicker is rough and could potentially scratch the wood's surface. Other than that, I love it.

LOVE this product!

Very nice bench. Sturdy and attractive. I am using it for a coffee table in front of a sofa. The shelves provide storage for books, magazines, and my laptop with accessories. I put a soft cover on top so we can use it as a foot rest (it is a little high for that but works ok). Since I have the front facing the sofa, I was concerned about the finish on the back.....no worries there, it is quit nice. The bench is light enough that we can move it to another area for use as a extra seating.
One word about the assembly instruction: it tells you that it takes two people and it will (unless you have 3 or 4 hands). It is mostly to support pieces while they are being attached. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow.

Very nice for the price

I searched for a week on the internet but kept coming back to this cabinet. I found others for several hundred dollars more but did not want to spend that much. This is perfect for my entry way. It is styish and the price was right. Plus I put it together myself (no husband needed, he was fishing), in about 45 minutes, probaby less if I didn't have that glass of wine.

functional and attractive

Unit arrived promptly and was not too difficult to put together. Missing decorative trim on bottom of one side of unit however since this unit is at the end of the bed it was not a deal breaker. It is sturdy and perfect replacement for the footboard at the bottom of queen size bed.

Almost Perfect storage unit

I was smoothly going through the assembly steps, and then just as I was screwing in the last side panel, the wood cracked!! I was not screwing anything in unusually tight or hard. The places where holes were made by the manufacturer were inaccurate for screwing. While I am keeping this product because I figure the bench will eventually get chipped or dented since we move with the military so often, I am very let down by the quality of the wood. I just recommend others to be very careful when screwing in the screws. If you see a crack begin, stop right away and try to line up the other parts of the wood. I did not see this about to happen, and it was too late.

Disappointed

Milan Storage Hall Bench in walnut finish with a rectangular shape, raised edge top surface, and two open shelves divided by a middle shelf, constructed from solid and composite wood, ideal for entryway seating and storage of shoes or blankets.
