Like the size for watering 7 chickens, sturdy durable container, no sharp edges, nice metal.  Easy to fill and carry.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Much better than similar size plastic waterers, if you plan to use it for more than about 3 years.  The plastic ones eventually get brittle and crack.

This waterer might last forever

I bought this before winter came because it is compatible with the heat source I bought for the chicken house. Initially the valve leaked because it was misaligned. And it was very difficult to pull the 2 parts apart for filling. I gently bent the valve arm so that the rubber lined up properly and that fixed the leak. Eventually the system loosened up and became easier to separate. Now I love the thing! No frozen water issues all winter long. Even with several periods of single digit lows. The chickens love it, too..

Great winter water solution.

it doesn't work as well as imagined. sometimes the gutter where they drink overfills. i dont really know why. if i wiggle it around it stops. but im happy with it overall. its way better than the waterer we had. they still get their water filthy. guess theres no way around it. i would buy again.

it's ok

This item worked well two or three times. Now, I have to hold the stopper in place while I pour water into the tank or the water will run out the bottom as fast as I pour it in.

design could use some adjustments

leaks like a sieve. seems not soldered well

The unit leaks because the seam that connects the metal into a cylinder shape leaks air. Putting silicone on the seam inside fixes the issue. It's pathetic they manufacture these, and they don't work out of the box. Poor quality control and testing. Read reviews all over the internet for years. It's a known issue, and they dont care.
