It's so nice not to have to drag an air line out to use air tools to remove big bolts . This tool removed   It with ease . I wish I would have picked this up sooner .

This has got some serious power

We have the big 1” impact but it takes up a lot of space when working on equipment! We recently replaced the undercarriage and pads on a steel track loader and this was our most used power tool by far! The power this impact has really is amazing!

Big on power, Compact enough for tight spots!

This impact works great, and is basically the same size as the 1/2" dr model. We also have the 1" dr model, and this is a great in-between when the 1" is too big and the 1/2" is too small for the task we are working on.

Workhorse

This power tool worked like magic 
I was concerned we would have problems removing some bolts on a heavy duty brake job we where doing but NO it did it with ease made our job so much easier to do

Easy job

Overall it is a good impact. Only downside is it was advertised as having customizable torque settings and it does not. You can customize the speed, ramp up time, light, and what they call precision mode. When asking their tech support how that translated into ftlbs of torque i was told it really doesn't.

Good cordless impact

Great impact gun. Hits as hard or harder than most the 3/4 air guns in our shop. Have actually done a comparison. Very impressive for a battery operated impact.

Industial maintenance

I've used several of the Milwaukee 2864 20 impacts in an industrial environment over time. I really appreciate the compact form factor and overall performance. It's a well balanced tool that handles nicely and delivers solid torque.

However, the front housing durability has been a consistent issue across all units we've used. Every single one has eventually developed cracks in the bell housing, and in one case, the housing catastrophically failed during operation. We've even tried using the Milwaukee rubber protective boots to reduce external stress, but unfortunately that hasn't prevented the cracking.

These tools have not been abused. They're used within their rated capacity, but the housing still fails over time. I genuinely hope a future generation addresses this flaw because the tool has real potential if this structural issue can be resolved.
