Provides sufficient power throughout the day.

Can be exceptional, but some units may be subpar.

Can be rapid, but also slow and inconsistent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the value. Even though this is not their highest technology battery it will get the job done.  If you're looking for more power consider getting a forge battery.

The M18™ REDLITHIUM™ XC5.0 Extended Capacity Battery Pack has a very good size; it is smaller than other 5 Ah batteries I own. And it took one hour and a half  to charge from one line to 4 with a regular charger. The only one small things that I don't like it is one of the red LED doesn't work well.

Well , it was significantly less money than home depot.

Package had been previously opened, so I assume it was a return and hence the lower price.   So far it is functioning well. Had to charge battery before first use. It powered my Milwaukee LED spot/flood light well on the medium setting for a couple hours and it still had 3/4 charge remaining. Hopefully it continues to perform well.

Customer Care

I use Milwaukee tools for my trade.   The new Milwaukee batteries are much inferior to the older ones.  So much so that I have questioned whether I bought bootleg batteries but I bought them at a reputable dealer.  The battery power indicator lights don't give clear bar readings and the charges last about half the time of my older batteries.   I love Milwaukee, have full pack out set with about tools including chainsaw, vacuum, multi tool, skillsaw, jigsaw, router, impacts, 18 gauge nailer, side grinder, and drill, but am not impressed with the new batteries.
