After my review was submitted I was contacted by the company and they did a great job of evaluating my issue and getting it resolved. This is a great little flashlight for a jobsite that is light and bright and they stood behind it. I understand things break and it was great to see they care.

Battery life

Dissatisfied with this Milwaukee light. It has a decent amount of lumination for its size, good for working in a small area. AA Batteries seem to drain quickly on High output though.   I like that it has two points of very strong magnetic pull, but if dropped or bump it, the light will turn off.  The tiny side switch is hard to depress to turn on/off, plus the tiny rubber cap will deform and interfere with the operation.  Sturdy and durable Red plastic seem par for Milwaukee. 

Secondly, and this is a big one - adjusting the rotatatable pocket clip too far to expose and the utilize the side magnet, the clip will cause the battery cap to fly off and might be difficult to find it because of the battery tensioning spring inside the cap.  The light will not work w/o the cap, so looking for it in the dark will be a problem. Also, adjusting or rotating the pocket clip in the other direction is possible but will cover the on/off switch.  Somehow being right handed, I always seem to manage to twist the pocket clip w/my right thumb to right launching the end cap into space.  
Seems the product design of using a ”quarter twist” cap should have been obvious that this would occur.

Sorry, won't buy another.

Milwaukee Tool

I was impressed when I first saw it, it's so cool and useful. I have two of these, one of them failed.

I left it in the toolbox untouched for couple of months to find the locking threads on the inside falling apart. It was due to the batteries going bad, the plastic around it disintegrated when I cleaned off the white stuff from the battery. 

I used electrical tape to close it shut. It works for couple of days until the spring on the cap dislodge the tape just enough that the ON/OFF button does not work anymore. I then tried duct tape; it took even less time for the tape to stretched. 

The plastic should hold up against the white substance from the bad battery, this is the first time that I've seen the plastic breaking apart. Don't store it with battery or check it frequently — use the good brands.

Weak plastic in the locking thread

Purchased this with the intention of keeping it in my pocket as my go to. Unfortunately, the device is paper weight. Doesn't matter what battery brand you use, style, etc. the light always shuts off on its own. No reason, remove the battery and put a new one in. Same thing, dies in 15sec. Put those batteries in something else and theyre fine....

Worst light from milwaukee.... should be discontinued.

Avoid the headache.... its not your batteries....

Really liked the light… when it worked. As all the other reviews have said, no matter what batteries you have in it, it won't stay on. Very temperamental. Unfortunately a waste of money. Hopefully Milwaukee will make it right and offer a refund or other light replacement.

Great light… if it works

Big fan of the light initially, so I bought a second one. Now both will stay on for about 5 seconds then shut off. That's with brand new batteries from Energizer and Duracell. Disappointed
