Great tree trimming saw, bought for clean up after hurricane Helene. Cut a thousand tree limbs, with quick and easy. Wouldn't expect anything less from Milwaukee.

Great saw

Great little saw. I purchased it to take along on off road Side x Side rides as so many times you come along downed small trees on the trails. Also great for small pruning jobs around the yard and for camping. Cuts pretty quick for the size and no need to carry around mixed fuel is nice.

Great Little Saw

This is a very handy little saw. Perfect for pruning the low limbs on trees and for those thicker bushes. It is convenient to use with one hand and hold the limb with the other. Cuts some larger limbs easily. Use like a regular saw as far as having bar oil and keeping the blade tensioned. Uses a small actual chainsaw chain.

Nice for around the house for pruning

We expected this M12 chainsaw to be just good enough to get the job done on small 1 to 2 in diameter limbs. It can and did cut thru up to 4in limbs. AND our 4ah battery got us through a full S10 blazer of limbs. 
Only complaint is the on-off toggle is slightly difficult for my hands.

Great saw that I would recommend but like all saws at leaks oil and you can't exactly pour the oil back into the container and you can't pour it into the garbage so what do you do with it except hope it doesn't leak on anything important in your garage.. Couldn't they have put a valve on it to stop it from leaking oil while being stored?

This is a great little pruning saw. I've use it to trim 10 palm trees and it did the job that purchased it for. The M12 battery (XC4.0) lasted through five trees. The only issue I have is with the removal of the battery. It's like wrestling a bear to get it out. R&D needs to figure a better design. I would have given it 5 stars otherwise.

The hatchet is awesome. The only thing I would change is where the safety button is. Not always easy to push it and cut. If you have a branch in your other hand you have to really reach for it with your cutting hand. Can make it difficult to maneuver the saw into place before starting.

Decent little saw.  I only wish it was an M18 instead of an M12.  Otherwise I would give it 5 stars.  The high capacity M12 batteries that I have are fine, but this thing uses a lot of power quickly.  So be ready with plenty of batteries on-hand if you have a lot of pruning to do.

The safety button really frustrates me. It is at an awkward position that requires you to press sideways with your thumb while gripping the saw and then having to squeeze the trigger all at the same time. Your hand will get fatigued pretty quickly when pruning one mid size plant. I wish the safety would be more like some finish nailers that have two triggers, or a simple on/off toggle. 
This function makes me second guess wanting to use this tool and has me leaving it in the corner more than I'd like.
