This quality of light output is top-notch, period. Extremely even and intense light with two levels— no hot spots. This light can easily illuminate an entire room, attic, engine bay, or undercarriage on a lift, etc. This is a special-purpose professional NECK light. It does not need magnets, as someone suggested. It is heavier than a typical Amazon generic neck light, and is not even in the same class. I would recommend it for those who stand during work, or perhaps lie on a creeper, rather than crawling through tight attics, subfloors, or crawlspaces. This light wraps around your neck and rests on your shoulders. It was not designed for crawling or tactical work. As for battery life, I doubt it could last all day as advertised, as any light this intense would need a giant battery, but if your career/projects require additional lighting, you can always carry an extra battery or two, like your other cordless tools. This is an expensive light, but of professional quality for daily use.

Simply awsome, comfortable to wear , great brighness on high or low the ergonomics are great being able to point the two heads in different directions. Well thought out Milwaukee.

I'm a 62-year-old electrician with more than 40 years of experience in the field, and I think Milwaukee is on the right track with this neck light — but it still has room for improvement.

The Bad

Fit/balance: The light tends to slide off the back of my neck. It needs a little more weight in the front or less weight in the rear to stay balanced.

Battery life: The battery simply doesn't last long enough. I haven't officially timed it, but I rarely get more than 4–5 hours out of a full charge.

Charging time: The battery takes too long to fully charge. I do have more than one battery, but carrying extras isn't always convenient.

The Good

Brightness & aim: The light is very bright and easy to point exactly where you need it.

Comfort with headgear: It can be worn without removing your hat or interfering with a hard hat.

Low-profile design: Because it sits around your neck instead of on your head, you don't have the problem of knocking it off when moving through attics or tight spaces.

Final Thoughts

I own two of these lights and an extra battery. With multiple batteries, I usually don't run into power issues anymore, but I would still like to see a more secure, better-balanced fit around the neck. Milwaukee is close — a few adjustments would make this an exceptional tool.Milwaukee is on the right track, but they still need to work on the

Getting there

General usage.  
PROS: 
(1) Hands free light that does not interfere with various headgear that i use (e.g. headband magnifier, safety helmet with screen visor).  
(2) Seems to be fairly rugged given that mine has dropped several times onto concrete and is still working.

CONS (areas for improvement): 
(1) Does not seem to last long on a fully charged battery compared to my LED headband (different manufacturer).  
(2) After using this neck light for around 6 months the battery connection to the terminals inside the battery compartment was having an intermittent connection. The solution for this was adding a small piece of foam rubber that pushes the battery more onto the compartment terminals.  This seems like a design flaw since a user should not have to modify (add foam rubber) a product to make it work. Granted it was a simple fix.
(3) This neck light has a tendency to slide off your neck and down your back.  I find myself pulling this light back up around my neck when i feel it starting to drift off my neck.
(4) I found that the side arms of this neck light have a tendency to rub the skin on my neck and create a sore spot.  To correct this i put a piece of thin foam around each arm.  

Some suggestions for improvement:
(1) This light needs to last longer on a fully charged battery!  Perhaps Milwaukee needs to revisit its lineup of small batteries (e.g. USB Redlithium 3.0) and start developing the next generation of small batteries with higher charge capacity.
(2) Can 2 batteries somehow be used to increase the run time on a fully charged battery?  Perhaps the batteries can be relocated from the back of the neck to the piece where the LED is.  There could be one battery per LED piece.  This would also put more weight towards the front of the neck which may reduce the tendency of this light to slide off the back of one's neck.  There could also be one power button per LED piece so that each LED piece can be independently controlled.
(3) My eyes don't detect much of a difference between the 2 LED intensity settings.  Why not offer a much lower light intensity setting that would allow for a longer run time?

Ok but there is room for improvement.

I'm an electrician and use this light A LOT in the crawlspace and attic. I love that it's bright! I love the convenience of not holding a flashlight while working BUT this got rated a two star because this neck light occasionally slides off my neck when I get into weird positions installing things or fixing things. I also don't like the weight of this light. I personally think it's a bit heavy. It's also expensive.

I would not buy this product again

I am in telecommunications.  Very disappointed….. first the lights pivot feature need a clicking function for more stability. Second they need to have a feature to be able to extend the arms so as to be adjusted more comfortably. Third it needs two magnets on the back top so as to be able to mount it to metal surfaces if needed.  Fourth it should have more than two light modes maybe a strobe feature.  Fifth the lights tend to get hot so maybe install led lights which will be brighter, last longer and reduce heat.  Also price is way too much for a flashlight. You definitely need to go back to the drawing board on this flashlight.

Purchased these a week ago, THEY DO NOT HAVE A RUN OF 8 hours. I had these charged fully just for them to die in 2-3 hours. When i needed the light most it failed me

1. Run time is 2-3 hours
2. Too heavy in the back so it slides off constantly 
3. Battery door opens and battery falls out all of the time
4. The arms need to be more ridged
5. Great idea just not perfected
6. Lights are bright but so hot powder coating powder cures to the lenses 

Please let me know when these are updated, until than I am shopping for a better one
