On your turn you will have 2 actions to spend on exploring the world, collecting blocks, fighting mobs, and building. At the end of your turn, roll the die to see if the illagers advance towards the village. As the illagers get closer to the village, more monsters will spawn, but don’t worry! I bought this game for my 8 year old son who loves Minecraft.  It is hard to get him to do anything other than play video games but this did the trick.  It is a super fun game and you play as a team rather than playing against each other.  He's highly competitive so I love that this encourages teamwork and strategizing together.  It has enough rules to be engaging but is not so complicated that my 5-year-old couldn't figure it out after a game or two.

My kids absolutely love this game. As a mom that doesn't know anything about Minecraft I thought it was a bit much to learn but my kids said it's a bit difficult at first but easy to learn and they said they love its not one winner but a family game working together. They loved how it's got a easy level and a hard.

Got this for my 7 yr old grandson for Christmas and he loved it.

Perhaps it is because I do not play Minecraft myself but it seemed a little complex and not easy to understand for the age range (or an adult) my son lost interest quickly when I tried to play the game and learn as we go. He enjoyed punching out the cardboard pieces of the game more.
