For kids and as a gift this is amazing!! The value is great and it runs perfectly!! There are some issues when you load into a big server but other than that its great! The ease of use is super simple. Insert it and run it!! Comes with a Mario skin as well. Long story short its AMAZING.

I bought this as a gift for my son. He has very restrictive interests and this game is a HUGE favorite of his! It came early and he was more than thrilled to get right to it.Would absolutely recommend it to anyone, but especially children that enjoy building/ getting creative, have restrictive interests like my son, or someone that enjoys a survival type game that is more kid friendly with lots of options. I even enjoy playing this game in my 30's!

Fun for almost anyone.

I have twins and one has minecraft and the other didn't so dad had to resolve that issue because sharing is apparently not caring when the switch is involved. needless to say now they both have a copy, they are happy and content. decent price and very speedy delivery,  actually same day by surprise, and this dad appreciates it. calm has been restored upon the household.

quick and easy resolution!

I know it is a great game, she plays it online already. But she wanted a Nintendo Switch, and one of the games she wanted was the Minecraft game. I got it for my daughter for Christmas and I know she will be thrilled to open it Christmas morning. Thank you.

I bought this as a gift for my nephew.  A bunch of us did play for quite a long time. the graphics are great. this game is great for kids but I did enjoy it also as an adult

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've looked for this and found it at a great price!

I recently got my switch and I've been trying to find minecraft but didn't wanna pay the expensive prices!! So this was a great option and so affordable! I love the video game and I play it everyday, not a scam it works perfectly, but my only complaint is that it came 2 days later than it said it would. I was waiting 2 days thinking maybe somebody else got my package then it finally showed up, it was "out for delivery" for 2 days it was a little upsetting cause I was so excited to play, but other than that I love this product an the fact that it's the physical chip for such a affordable price!

Amazing product but came late!

it works fine but i bought it primarily so i could change the version the game ran on to something a bit older (for nostalgic reasons, i prefer older versions of the game to the current one now) but the way minecraft is designed for the switch, you're not able to revert to a previous version and have to go along with the minecraft updates that are pushed out :/ other than that the game is fine, i just wish i could go back to minecraft 1.21. the game has so many updates now that i can't keep up with all the new stuff and would rather play a version i grew up on

disappointing

I wish I could give this negative stars.  imagine Minecraft, but lan play fails with cryptic messages if you try to play between switch and any non- switch device.  imagine you need to pay for Nintendo online to play online, and even then it won't let you join private servers.   also it runs incredibly poorly.   this game is so hamstrung by issues it's embarrassing.   

and then there are the bugs.   the game never remembers configuration changes.   on first boot it just stopped accepting any input until i restarted it.

for the sole usecase of playing Minecraft split screen multilayer offline there is the tiniest amount of utility to a very small audience, but still insane that they would release something this bad.   Nintendo and Microsoft should both be ashamed.

Unpopular opinion: Minecraft is an awful game.
I tried, I bought it after being recommended it several times. Good value for the game, and the game worked perfectly.. I just think Minecraft is overrated.
It's a knock off of dragon quest builders. 
Now that's a fun game! 
Do yourself a favor and play that game instead.
You won't regret it. :)
