[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great posable action Mine Craft figure.  His arms legs and head move and he is able to grasp the axe and carry to add to the action.  To build portal one has to collect all figurines in set.  Son has Carried this guy around for two weeks, and he is still begging for more.  Simple toy, but has provided hours of imaginative play.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice durable toy. My son tends to be fought with figurines, particularly the arms.  While there is more movement than anticipated, they are also not going to be pulled off like a lot of other toys out there. Now my son wants the whole set!

Amazing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Minecraft Steve Build-a-Portal figure is designed to complete a full set of six (6) figures that each contain a different section of the portal. The figure itself is obviously usable on its own without the included section of the portal, but honestly, without the other portal pieces, the section included with this figure is mostly useless outside of using it as a prop piece for other scenarios.

This Minecraft Steve figure articulates at the shoulders and hips; the shoulders not only move back and forth, but do extend upward a bit for a flapping action. The head also allows some movement at the neck to adjust positioning of the face. The openings in the hands are rectangular, which accepts the rectangular shaft of the pickaxe, which is the only other accessory in the package other than the portal section.

Still, it's a fun figure for replicating the actions of Steve and the other miscellaneous cast within the Minecraft game: mining for materials, gems, or other rare items; or whatever else kids find amusing within the game. Or Steve can just be stood upright on display to show off your love for the game.

Fun figure! Needs more portal bits to be complete.

Great toy for Minecraft lovers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Steve is bigger than the rest of the mincraft toys we've purchased. Steve holds his axe securely. His arms, legs and neck move without ease. We have one part of the portal and very excited to collect the remaining characters to complete the portal.

Son was very happy to have a slightly different steve - one with a Creeper shirt! He likes posing the figure into different positions with the pickax. Didn't know what a "build a portal" was until we got this. Part of a set to combine and build to make a big portal. Kinda of cool. Now he wants some more to make the portal. Haha. Good one Mattel. But they are affordable in the store and cute so whatever promotes pretend play for my Minecraft lover that's OFF the computer!

Creeper Steve!

There's not much to it, however, as a standalone unit and requires the other characters for it to be a toy that will retain a child's attention if that is your intent. Would be better as bundled kit that includes multiple characters for a child to play with.
