I bought this motor in January. I've used it only 6 times and the last time out it wouldn't deploy.  After numerous attempts it finally deployed but failed again numerous times. I sprayed WD40 in the mechanism when I got back to the dock and it resumed to work. 
I just hope that's not the beginning of problems!  Other than that I've no problems and it handles great.
