Remote

Shipping was extremely fast, I received the remote after two days post ordering. The remote itself is very small and light compared to the Terrova normal remote. It is very responsive and comes with the main keys one would need the most on the water. The remote comes with batteries and the pairing is very easy and straight forward.
Great buy for someone looking for a remote that is small, convenient and responsive when the conditions require quick reaction.

I wanted to write my own review after reading the others. I had the some complaints as both other guys... lock screen is a must and it hung upside down to me. Well, there is in fact a lock screen! Scroll to the bottom of the touch screen and it's right there. Also, just take the lanyard off and attach at the other ends attachment point for the lanyard and you are good to go. 

This remote over the others allows you to fine tune sooo much. It's one of the best tools in my boat for when I'm fishing walleye in the Spring in Green Bay and I'm making small shifts with my boat or jumping spots in and quick Spot Locking. 

I wish it was a little lighter, but at the end of the day... the touch screen and glass of that screen has some weight. That is the trade of you make in gear choices.

Small Format Great Tool!

Love this remote, but I cannot stand how when you have the remote on a lanyard it hangs button side up, so when you grab it you naturally rotate it around so the buttons are on the bottom. Well why were the buttons then put on the top so the buttons are all upside down in the first place. Sure, you can rotate the screen so it's usable upside down but this makes no sense.

Also, it always seems to spin so the screen comes in contact with your chest, which it sometimes will activate some of the buttons on the touchscreen. The remote needs a screen lock button like a smartphone, it would save battery and prevent accidental button pressing.You can lock the touchscreen but it is way to time intensive to be doing every time.

Other than that I LOVE THIS REMOTE.

Nice remote but...

A very handy tool for when you are not standing on the footcontrol. 
So many great ways to control your boat.
BUT
Very prone to failure. The remote unit has a poor track record for reliability. 
When mine stopped working (screen display) the repair center was surprised that I managed to squeeze 3 seasons out of it.

Great tool / when it works...

When it works, its great (A bit bulky though). The charging cable is proprietary, will get loose overtime and it does cost more than it should (Why not use a standard USB c connector).   The remote itself will stop working overtime, if you are lucky it might be after 4 years but it can be as low as 1 year.  I suspect the use of cheap eeprom which holds the firmware.  The remote will lose it's embedded software and reprogramming will give you an error due to the faulty eeprom.  When the warranty is up, it becomes a nice anchor and as of May 2022, the remote is back order everywhere.
