These sturdy tools are properly balanced and are constructed from heavy solid brass or steel. The tongs and shovel are solidly riveted, ensuring they work smoothly and won't rattle or come apart. Plow & Hearth Support

Beautiful, sturdy set. The reason for the drop in stars is the design of the hooks intended to hold the tools are too shallow, especially for the log tongs. They balance precariously in the small hook and one minor bump by the dog's tail and the whole set goes clattering to the floor. Given the expense amd overall weight of the item, I would have expected a heartier base.
