Good for single or multiple coat application, Like most finish urethane you must use a good brush and slow continuous stroke. With this thicker material it is even more important to do so and not re-brush once applied. On large surfaces it is more challenging, I opt for a 2nd coat so as not to worry about working the first coat to much. Also wait the appropriate time for second coating or you will make a mess. leaves a water resistant chemical resistant finish the looks good and as advertised in less time.
 I have a bit of a cheat that I have learned over the years: I do the first coat with the thick 3x as it fills imperfections well, seals the wood and levels out the surface (if applied correctly), then wipe with a Scotch Brite sanding pad ( like a greenie scrubber but finer) then finish coat with the thin standard urethane and it gives me  a perfect finish every time.

Great product.  I used it for a small hardwood floor project.  It dries to touch in an hour, and seemed completely dry after 3 hours.  It gave of very little odor, which is a plus.  I applied it with a foam applicator, not too thickly, and it worked perfectly.

So easy to clean up!  Will definitely use when I need it.

Used on a desk I stained and it turned out perfect. I LOVE that it only requires one coat and so far it seems as durable as any other 2-3 coat polyurethane or polycrylic I've used. I do a lot of woodworking and I will definitely be using this again!

Used this on an outdoor project that sees a lot of weathering. It went on excellent, sanded well and is holding up amazingly.

Was excited to find this in the store as I had just sanded down a cherry table and was going to urathwne it - I bought a quart of the clear semi-gloss. Wish I hadn't.

I tried applying with a sponge and then tried a brush. It doesn't go on smooth. I see brush strokes in my finished work. It is fine if you are doing a project like a swing set, picnic table or something in my garage. Maybe OK for a children's toy box, but this was a fine piece of cherry antique furniture and I want to sand it off and do it over again. 

It goes on thick, this is for sure, and I really like the plastic lid - easy to close tight when done. The price was comparable. I just don't feel like it created that glass-like fine surface I get from other urethane products, including minway urethanes. I gave it a 3-out of-5 because it has its uses, just not fine furniture.

One coat minwax polyurethane

I have mixed feelings about this. I used it to protect the patina on an antique cabinet, it did the trick but was thick and difficult to work with.

After entering my order number into the screen on the pickup tower, I stood waiting for almost half an hour before I got any assistance from an associate who then had to go search for my purchase in the back. I've had positive experiences of online order pickups before but this was unacceptable.
