Instructions said on the package to use 20-20-20 for best results.  Could not find anything in granules like I wanted.  So I went to Miracle Gro Shake n' Feed.  Amazing results. The numbers are very different as far as what my plants needed but this container full of granules that are easily shaken around the plant did the trick.  My plants had started to yellow and I knew they needed some nourishment.  This product is wonderful.  The plants have all greened up and putting on new growth.  I am so happy I brought Shake n' Feed.

Miracle-Gro

Shake n Feed is great for quick but lasting fertilization. No smelly sacks of manure. Clean and easy to spread around in gardens and vineyards. Flowers and veggies love this stuff.  I wish we could get 40–50-pound economic sacks for a refill. Grass responds well also, but my flowers and veggies respond well too. Grape vines are hardy but they like a little power start in the spring. Feeding vines in early spring give them a jumpstart for sweeter grapes in late summer-early fall.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The day after I received my Miracle-Gro Shake 'n Feed All Purpose Plant Food, I planted a young Weeping Subhirtella Cherry Pendula (tree). Before I covered the soil with decorative stones, I sprinkled the soil surrounding the tree with Miracle-Gro Shake 'n Feed All Purpose Plant Food. One week later, the tree is thriving with new leaves and blossoms appearing almost daily.

Easy to use plant food

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this product around my heirloom tomato plants this summer. I had the best results with the plants holding up all summer and the produce from the plant was exceptional. The only thing different this year from past years was the use of this fertilizer (same plant variety, same garden location, I watered as usual) so it had to be the fertilizer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife and I have really enjoyed using Scott's Shake & Feed for two strong reasons. 

We buy our annuals and use them in planters and pots for the first month of each Spring on our steps and patio to add early color. After that we transfer them to beds. The "feed" element always adds great color to the plants and the roots are strong enough to flourish with the replanting!

Ease of use is also very attractive to my wife, you can cover a lot of plants in a very short period of time!

A very solid product I would recommend to everyone.

Great way to start Spring!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Liked the way it spreads with the cap. Just open and it spreads evenly. Applied two weeks ago and the tomatoes grew one foot! The other citrus plants and palms look healthier. Recommend this . I use it every year.

Scott's Plant food

No application instructions for heavy feeders in pots.
No instructions for 16", 20" or larger pots.
30 day application is,
"UP TO 30 days". So what does that mean?
Thanks to Miracle Gro potting mix and Shake 'n Feed, my tomatoes in big pots are huge with many enormous, spotless not yet ripe tomatoes.
However, I have had to guess the amounts and frequency of fertilizing. 
Alexa has helped me guess the amount, my extension office says fertilize once a month.
So I close my eyes, dump a lot on, water like mad, and hope nothing dies.
Please give application instructions for pots 
1. amount per inch with a range for heavy feeders.
2. Actual permitted frequency of application.

The print is so small for the amounts to use I can't read it. So I want to get my plants planted but have to wait for someone to come home to read it. Tried the web site but all that said was follow label directions. If you they could at least have it on the web site so people can look it up would sure be of help.

About 2 weeks ago, I used this product on my house plants that I have had for over a year... I followed the instructions closely based on the size of each plant pot, watering as needed like usual and keeping the position/amount of sunlight the same as a sort of "control". After a few days, I didn't notice much change - but after a week my plants became limp and leaves started yellowing and falling off. The soil was damp so I didn't water, but a few days later small flies/bugs started showing up and the surface layer of soil on each pot was covered in white mold. After looking for solutions online, I removed about 1/3 to 1/2 of the top layer of soil from each to make sure there was no mold left. The plan was to add fresh soil to each pot, but upon repotting I noticed that the stems of each plant were rotting and there was even root rot on a few. I ended up not being able to salvage any of my houseplants. Considering this was the first time using this product, and nothing else about my plant care routine had changed, I believe that this is what killed my plants. I would not recommend it. If your plants are doing well, leave them be.
