This is a great lightweight shoe for every day running and training. I really enjoy this shoe on an intermediate outdoor run as its very lightweight but still supportive. This is not my favorite shoe in a treadmill for long distances because the toe feels thin to me and after a while on the belt starts to feel like it is pounding, however, still works great for something like a HIIT workout. I do orange theory, and for 15-30 mins on a tread this shoe is still great. In terms of sizing, i would say fits true to size for your regular running shoe. I wear a 7 or 7.5 in regular everyday shoes, but an 8 in running shoes. Ordered an 8 in these and fit great.

Great lightweight training shoe!

I usually walk more than I run, but these shoes are so comfortable I have been running more. The shoes are sturdy and breathable but not flimsy like some mesh sneakers. I generally have soreness in the balls of my feet after a mile or so, but the cushion in these shoes is so soft and feels like walking on luxury padded carpet. No more sore feet for me!

Comfortable, sturdy and great looking

I bought these shoes about 6 months ago. Now i have just bought another of the same style. They are very comfortable and supportive.  I have bouts of plantar faciaitis so I have tried several brands of shoes. I originally tried Mizuno when I saw a sale and they were just what I was needing for comfort.

Bought a second pair

I've been a runner for over 40 years, wearing a variety of brands of running shoes in that time. Fifteen years ago, I discovered Wave Riders and haven't worn anything else for running since. They are perfect for my moderately high arch and neutral stance. This new model has a fantastic feel of cushion on impact, while not being too squishy. You can feel a little boost to help your forward energy. I love it! The mesh uppers are breathable and comfortable. This is my perfect shoe for lightweight stability, support, and cushioning!

BEST Wave Riders Yet!

Lighter than past Mizuno running shoes. Great cushion and support. Not much time needed to "break in." Adds about an inch of height. Very comfortable.

Great cushion; sturdy running shoe

I always have knee/hip pain when I run on crappy shoes, but when I get a new pair of these my pain is instantly gone. I will always run with these shoes.

Favorite running shoes

I love the comfort these shoes provide for my daily walks. The Wave Rider model offers great support and I love that they come in Wide

I've been running in wave riders since 2017. Great shoe!

Great running shoe

Currently, I am a casual runner, 2-3 miles per run, 2-3 runs per week. This shoe fits my current needs very well, especially for these short distance runs. I have very narrow feet with extremely high arches, and I have found with these (and all of my previous Mizuno shoes - Wave Rider 22-24) that I HAVE to use a SuperFeet insole to make them work for me at any distance. Once I have the insole, I'm good to go! These shoes fit my narrow feet well. I wear a size 9.5 in running shoes, 8.5 in most sandals/casual sneakers, and these Mizunos feel true to size. They might fit *slightly* looser/bigger than the 22-24s, but nothing major/problem-causing. I did not need any break-in period to get these loosened up - just tied the laces and was able to head out the door comfortably! No blistering, rubbing, etc. My all-time favorite Mizuno running shoes have been the Wave Rider 22s and 23s, but these come next. I'm not sure how they would feel for medium- to long-distance runs, but as I said, for my current needs, Mizuno has me covered as always!

Suitable replacement for my Wave Rider 23s

I really love my other pair of 8.5 D wave riders, and thought I could add to my collection. When these arrived, I noticed that my toes were scrunched up at the top of the toe box. When I compared this shoe to the other wave rider, I found it was at LEAST an inch shorter than my other pair — and that is why it felt like a full size smaller. Bizarre. And now I have to pay to restock my return.
