I run a lot and am used to typically having the really light and flat Nike knit shoes. I gave these a try (big fan of the knit look!) and it's surprisingly super light and there's way more support than the shoes I typically run in. I have plantar fasciitis yet never really thought about getting shoes with good support but now I feel like i can't go back! I got the hot pink color which I love. If you're a big runner and looking for something supportive and light yet still fashionable, these are it !! FYI they definitely run a half size small!!!

I just bought my Wave Rider 25s and took them for their first test run -- I love them even more than the 23s I had a couple of years back! What makes a major difference for me is speaking to a professional shoe fitter at a running store (I got my Mizunos at Fleet Feet both times). These people know what they're doing. Even though I asked for an 8.5, the shoe salesperson suggested I also try the 9 - even though I know I feel uncomfortable running in "too big" shoes. The 9 was PERFECT. 

I don't recommend buying shoes online and then complaining about the fit. I highly recommend keeping your local running stores in business by visiting them, interacting with the salespeople and finding a shoe that works best for you.

Get fit by a professional at a store

I have worn Mizunos as my primary running shoes for years and this is the first time I have ever needed to go from my regular 8 to an 8.5 so the sizing definitely runs small. Once I sized up the fit was great though and the toe box didn't feel narrow. My only other complaint is that Mizuno needs to refine their Waveknit. It is a very thick material that doesn't allow for much breathability and it adds weight to the shoe. If you live in a warm climate, skip this one and maybe try the regular mesh version of this shoe.

Go half size up

I used this product to run outside on the pavement and to a weight lifting class. Normally I am a 7.5 but I had to return and get a size 8 - the 7.5 was quite small. It feels as if there is too much lift and cushion in the heel which causes my toe to slide into the front of the shoe which was uncomfortable for me.

The toe area is not comfortable

I should have believed the reviews! I've purchased so many Wave riders over the past 20+ years and I'm a solid size 8 EVERY time!!! Can pull my new shoes out of the box and hit the trails. Without fail they have always fit. NOT these ones. Too small. So sad and now I have to pay return shipping of over $25. Super disappointed with Mizunousa.com. I assumed they'd have an easy return policy. It's not. After getting transferred on the phone from one rep to another, I finally got a hold of the right person. You can't do a return online you have to speak with a rep. He was very nice, but the return policy is lame. You have to pay for return shipping with no exchanges possible. Anyway, I'm sure these are great shoes like all the other Wave Riders, but go to a local retailer and buy them there where you can try on. Buy local!!

I'm a US Women size 7. In the past these shoes have run small so i have been an 8.5. However, in this new model the 8.5 was way too small. 
The return experience was terrible. You have to call a customer support line to plan the return, and they do not provide a shipping label. This is not standard for digital sales today. 
Due to the overall experience and product, i will not be shopping here or with this company again.

Way too small - hard to return

I have owned more than 25 pairs of Wave Rider/Waveknit shoes and this pair is visibly shorter then the current 7 pairs I have at my house!!  My toes is little rally scrunched at the end. Unfortunately, I removed the tags before trying them since I've owned so many pairs. Please don't make the same mistake!

These run SUPER short!!!!!

I have been wearing Wave Riders for about 15 years. I have always been an 8.5 and these always support my feet and high arches really well.  This latest update is…. Not good, to put it nicely. Not only are they smaller, I would have to go up to a 9 if I wanted to keep these, but the fit and wear is just off. My feet seem to not only roll forward but inward - towards the big toe. I noticed it immediately just walking around the house when I first tried them on. Even wearing them around my house and trying to figure out what was going on with the fit and foot rolling aggravated my knee to the point it was in pain. I really, really hope Mizuno goes back to the old fit or I'll have to find a new running shoe.

Would avoid this latest update at all cost

I'm an 8 in shoes, and 8.5 in Wave Rider & Wave Knit (the past 5-6 models). The Wave Knit 25s are so tight. Tried on in store. Had to go up another half size (9) but then toe box felt so big. Also the back heel height seems higher. I've been running in Wave Knits 23 the last 2 years, so skipped the 24 model. So disappointed in the changes. The Wave Riders 25 seem to be normal but the color options are all dark. What's the deal?! I think I'm gonna try to find some 23s again….

I used to love my Mizuno running shoes. Lately, each model seems to get progressively worse. Disappointing. The fit is just off, the toe area is so uncomfortable and stiff. What has happened to these shoes? Go back to how the Wave Knit R2 or Wave Rider Wave Knit 23 are designed and you might have happy customers.
