Well I just got the couch, so it could improve with a little time I suppose, but it is hard as a rock. I mean, it feels like a park bench. Also, the fabric is not soft at all, it feels a little wirey. I don't mind this because I like how it looks, but the much cheaper sofa it's replacing  was softer. Also, when you press on the backrest, it makes kind of a crackly noise that makes it sound cheap. Overall, not highly impressed with the feel for the price. P.S. ignore the sticky tape on the side if you can see it, its cat stretch deterrent not part of the couch.
