I bought this about 4 years ago, best faucet ever.  I didn't ask the plumber to plug it in as opposed to batteries.  Didn't know that option existed.  Having said that, you need a plug under there.  Mine was there and my disposal is also plugged into the same outlet.In four years it runs flawlessly.  I will never buy anything other than spot resist.  Even if it's dirty it doesn't look it. I have never had it turn on other than when I wanted it to.  In Florida a faucet , if you are lucky, lasts 4 years, this one is working pretty darn good.  Hope I don't jinx myself.

Best faucet ever!  Pandemic, this is a must.

I had bought a different brand a little over a month ago and it began to leak and made a mess in my kitchen.  I love my Moen faucet, if you want the best buy Moen, lifetime guarantee.

Great features

Very happy so far, replaced an a 12 year old touch start faucet, by another manufacturer. Like this Moen so much more! Hopefully will continue to feel this way over time.

Installed a few days ago should have bought sooner

Unit has a very nice look, works fine. we replaced a moen faucet that had the hands free eye in front and on top, we could not find another like it, what I don't like with this one is that when you wipe the counter it turns on.

I've owned my Moen 7864WESRS faucet for less than one year and the faucet handle has become loose 3X.  I've had to use an allen wrench to tighten the screw each time.  The newest problem is the goose neck is rocking after each use.  Too many problems for the price!

Cannot operate manually without batteries. Batteries die too quickly. Do not recommend.

No Manual Operation

Batteries only last two months.  I use less water than most as a single person household but still the batteries only last 7-8 weeks and then zero water when they die.  No way to bypass (without purchasing? an adaptor).  I'm going to have to buy batteries for “life”?  (Moen for LIfe is their motto).  Don't buy.  I'd never recommend or get another faucet with a sensor again.

Need a lifetime supply of batteries

Installed  11 months.  Occasionally won't completely turn water off.  Repeat  cycling the handle on-off eventually turns water off.  Never know when the problem  will present itself nor when the thing will completely fail  which is what I expect.  Found instruction on moen site for resetting the control box.  Maybe that will work.....but this fat 76 yo does not relish the idea spending an afternoon scrunched under my sink.

Worst place to have sensor. You activate water to turn on accidentally every time you clean the counter near the sensor. The wiring is very sensitive, if anything moves water won't turn on. The biggest flaw is if your batteries are low, no water period. I mean you can't even turn on the water manually with low battery 🪫. Ridiculous

Flaws in this model

I am so unhappy that this faucet apparently does not have an override to manual only if the sensor fails. I will research this further but we have been told we need to get a new switch box and so in the meantime we have no water. Great for a holiday weekend!!
