Keep your area rugs securely in place with the Mohawk Home 6' Square Rug Pad, a dual-surface rug pad designed to prevent slipping, sliding, bunching, and wrinkling on hardwood, tile, carpet, or any flooring type. Featuring a durable latex rubber backing, this non-slip rug pad offers a stronger, more reliable grip than basic foam pads, making it a smart choice for everyday household use.

Designed for versatility, this rug pad can be used felt-side up on hard surfaces to help protect floors from scratches, or felt-side down on carpet for added stability. This dual-surface functionality makes it well-suited for area rugs, hallway runners, home gyms, or as an anti-fatigue standing mat in kitchens, workshops, or laundry rooms.

Constructed with 1/4-inch thick recycled felt combined with a latex rubber layer, this rug pad delivers cushioned support underfoot while also helping absorb sound and add a layer of insulation. This added thickness offers more resilience and support compared to thin, basic grip pads, making it a practical option for spaces that see frequent foot traffic.

For a customized fit, this rug pad can be easily trimmed with scissors to match the shape and size of your rug, runner, or designated space. Maintenance is simple, just vacuum or shake the pad clean as needed, making it a low-maintenance flooring accessory for busy households.

Made from recycled materials, this rug pad offers an eco-conscious flooring solution without compromising on function. Whether used under a square area rug, in a home gym, or as a supportive standing mat, the Mohawk Home Rug Pad delivers dependable grip, cushioning, and versatility for a variety of indoor spaces.

Appearance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This rug pad is wonderful! It has two sides, suitable for hard surface flooring or carpet, and is nice and thick. I was super impressed and don't worry about my wood floor getting scratched from rug movement.

Thick Rug Pad!

mohawkhome.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Learned the hard way that the cheaper the pad, the worse they can damage your floors. So since we switched to this pad, no more marks or damage to our hardwoods. Those sticky, mesh looking ones you see everywhere? Don't take the bait! We have permanent imprints of that mesh looking stuff on some of our floors because we used the wrong pad. This pad is durable, thick enough that it gives even a thin rug a bit of a plush feel, and it keeps our rugs from sliding around. We love them.

We use this pad for almost every rug we own

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only good things to say about this pad! The low-profile thickness makes my beautiful 8x10 Karastan rug look fabulous!

Fabulous

This rug pad was exactly what I needed for my new rug. It's not bulky at all and fit perfectly underneath. It was delivered in a compact package and is definitely worth spending the money to ensure your rug doesn't slip.

A must need if you buy a rug

Once you've used one of these rug pads you wont be able to not use one. Not only did it keep my rug from bunching up but it made the rug so cushioned and soft. My kids love to lay all over the rugs when we have the pad under the rug. I love that it's made from recycled material too! Win Win!!

Love the extra cushion!

Great cushion, easy to trim to size. Only downside - you have to let them sit for a week or so to flatten out before trimming.

Great Cushion!

I bought this area rug pad for my three new Mohawk Home area rugs and each rug pad has provided such plush comfort underfoot! I even followed the "how to trim an area rug" blog post and it helped tremendously.

So plush!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This rug pad is nice and thick, providing great cushioning. It's also helped our rug stay in place.

Awesome rug pad!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this rug pad on hard and soft floors and it works so well. I love the extra cushion it adds and it keeps my rugs in place.

Cushy Double-Sided Rug pad

I bought the 27oz rug pad with adhesive but it came folded in the box and the creases/bumps in it when laid flat do not flatten out. They make rug on top of it have a bubbling surface and won't lay flat, How do I remedy this?

folded rug pad uneven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered a 5x8 rug pad and the package was labeled as such, but the pad was actually 4x8. It's a whole foot off. I can't use it for my needs. Very disappointing. The pad itself seems nice but they need to step up the quality control.

Bad quality control

mohawk home dual surface felt non slip rug pad, 6' x 6', 1/4 inch thick, safe for all floors front-facing square view of a beige-gray felt pad with visible fiber flecks and flat 1/4 inch profile on white background; sits under area rugs to reduce slipping and add cushioning, also suitable for entryways or under runners.
