The suction cup sticks tightly to the shower wall and holds the weight of the hand-held shower without any problem. Perfect for the person who can't reach the shower head when it is stored in its original holder high on the wall. I highly recommend this item.

I got this because my daughter has been extremely phobia about water drops on the face. As she just had her 4th birthday, I would like to introduce her to shower. Since our bathroom already equipped with good hand held shower heads, all we need is just something like this portable shower arm to hold the shower head to a position that is not intimidating to her during shower.

My husband has been giving her shower for the past few days with the help of this shower arm, and she loves it, and when given a choice of bath or shower, she requested shower.

I will definitely recommend this product.

My extremely water phobia daughter loves it

For the price, I really was not sure if this shower arm was going to work, but decided to give it a try being that I could not find one any where else. I had tried the hooks that are just like this about 10 years ago, and was not even able to use them. They would not stay put! But, I will tell you the Safe-Er-Grip Portable Shower Arm really stays put! The first time I put it on the shower wall, I just stuck it anywhere just to see if it would stick to the wall....I had a hard time getting it off of the wall. Make sure you are placing it on an area with no grout lines, and lean into it,(put pressure on it) as you are pressing down on the latch. That way there will be no air that will cause it to unstick. Then you will have no problem with it. I have been using it for over a month now, and it only came unstuck one time, which was my fault for not pushing the handle down, which is what creates the suction. I have tile and glass in my shower, and it sticks great on both.

This really Works!

This item was just what was needed in the shower.  It makes my showering much safer.  It was easy to install.

Worked perfect for us. We have cultured marble shower walls (perfectly smooth) so it is staying secure. Needed to hang shower head down by the  bench seat for a senior to reach. Beats paying someone to drill holes to install anything else.

Puts the shower head where I need  it and not so high that I can't reach it. Also it has stuck tight. Great!

Just what I needed

This is great idea and works fine except on certain surfaces, the suction is very loose. We have tile in our shower and the grip slides down and off to easily

I have not had this long but over all it is OK.

Pros
Easy to mount and works as needed.

Cons
It fell off the wall twice so far. Seems you need to clean the wall good and then stick it, will see if that helps.
It only tilts a small amount so the spray shots across the shower and not down.

Limited usage so far

Have tried everything, including reading the instructions and cleaning the bathtub tiles, but the suction cup won't hold for more than about an hour. I didn't even try it with the shower arm because if the suction won't hold empty it isn't going to hold with weight. Very disappointed. Tried both on 4" tiles and on side of tub.

Suction cup won't hold

I've only had this attached for about two weeks and already it has come off the tile and fallen into the tub. The suction doesn't hold when the humidity changes and creates expansion/shrinkage. The design needs to be better in order for the suction to hold. I have a very lightweight handheld shower so that's not the issue. It's just not designed well.
