Can be straightforward, but may require close attention to detail.

It took an hour and a half to put this piece together. Directions were clear and easy to follow. You'll need to separate screws before beginning and that will save you a ton of time.
Overall, it's such a great piece! It looks so elegant and I know we'll have the piece for a long time and change out the handle as our daughter grows.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this Little Seeds Monarch Hill Hawken nightstand. It is the perfect size the large top holds a lamp and a few other items. The black is so elegant looking. Well made all the pieces were included . The instructions are easy to understand and walk you thought every step of the way. Has a nice solid weight to it. The draw is a nice size . I love that they give you two handles to choose from! We chose the feather handle , the silver is also very nice more of a modern looking handle. We are keeping ours in the living room, looks just beautiful.

Beautiful Nightstand

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The instructions are mostly pictures, but they are laid out pretty well. The black covering was smudged in transit, but not badly. Once assembled, it is pretty stable and solid.

Easy to assemble, decent looking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Third piece of furniture in this line we own, notice improvements in hardware packaged to assembly this nightstand. Packed well, nothing damaged. Easy to follow assembly instructions. All parts are clearly marked for quicker assembly. Sturdy for growing kids. Fair price, well made. Appreciate the bonus material on the box for kids to play on.

Blakes 1st nightstand

purchased 2 nightstands andbI wa skeptical about the  sturdiness of the product.  I  must say that my fears were laid to rest. the nightstands look great and I have 2 complaints thus the 4 stars instead of 5. I  thought the color could have been darker along the finished edge.  The side braces screws were a tad short. I had to work them to get them through the piece.  All in all this is a good purchase for the money.

Good quality for the money

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Little Seeds Monarch Hill Hawken Nightstand is asthetically pleasing. Although it was easy to put together, assembly took an hour and a half. The veneer had flaws in several places as well as a few nicks, but the nightstand has frame stiffeners that makes it more sturdy. The Little Seeds Monarch Hill Hawken Nightstand came with two drawer pulls, one silvertone and the other a golden feather design. We preferred the nice feather design for the nightstand. It really looks nice in my daughter's room and goes great with her decor.

Little Seeds Monarch Hill Hawken Nightstand

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Little Seeds Monarch Hill Hawken Nightstand and was a little disappointed with the (1) materials, (2) assembly instructions and (3) finished product. Materials: pressed "wood" with a less than durable coating, a cardboard back and plastic legs. Not enough short, flat head screws were included in my shipment, so I had to supplement with some I had on hand. Assembly instructions: only pictures/diagrams were provided. While I do not believe a lengthy explanation was necessary, some simple step by step wording would have been useful. My 13 year old son was better at interpreting the directions than I was. Finished Product: It took longer than I had expected to assemble. Directions clearly state not to put a t.v. on it, so it is not very sturdy. From a distance, it looks fine, but in close proximity, it looks cheap.

Not my favorite nightstand

I expected better quality for the price. The finish is chalkboard-like, and shows every smudge and bit of dust. The feather handle isn't as charming as it looks in the photo. One of the drawer rails was missing a wheel entirely so we had to go out and buy our own to replace it, and the instructions are not terribly clear. Certainly you can find better furniture for the same or less at IKEA.

All that said, it is cute, stores plenty, and my daughter likes it a lot. We are keeping it and hope to enjoy it more as the frustration from building it and receiving a defective product fades from memory.

Not as nice as we hoped

This is possibly the worst piece of MDF garbage I have ever had the misfortune to purchase. I wish I could give it no stars. It was filthy and damaged upon arrival. The finish was bubbling, worn off, and scratched in multiple places. And the construction was so poor that the drawer will barely open and close. I wasted an hour of my life putting it together and now have to figure out how to get my $80 back. Awful. Do not recommend!
