I really liked this desk. It was a pretty good desk for the price, albeit a bit wobbly... but it had one fatal flaw: the legs are very weak... They litterally collapsed under the desks own weight after about a year. The reason for this is simply lazy workmanship. They skipped on the weld at the bottom of the the x intersection. This is the most important weld on the entire desk as it litterally supports the whole desk.. or would do, if they hadn't completely omited it. The result is that it slowly collapsed. I noticed the desk was out of level, then one day realized the whole desk was resting on my computer case which I kept under the desk; if not for that, it would litterally have fallen down with my monitor on top of it. Now before you get any ideas, no, I did not over load it.

Great, but hugely flawed.

Monarch Specialties Computer Desk with a 48-inch brown reclaimed wood-look laminate top and black metal criss-cross legs, featuring two storage drawers with black handles and an open shelf, shown in a home office with a laptop, framed photos, and pencil holder; also suitable as a writing desk or study table.
