This bike is perfect! I bought it for my husband who is 6'3” about 280lbs and it is the perfect size for him. I was worried about the height and weight of the bike, but the frame is sturdy, solid, and the tires are a nice size. I've very happy with this purchase!

Big bike for a big guy!

I love this bike it's a awesome bike. It only requires little maintenance. I got the bike in store pick up. If u r looking to get a light trail bike to ride this is the one. Mongoose has always been my favorite bikes. I've tried other brands and types but they didn't meet my expectations. If you want to get into MTB i suggest you get a hardtail. They can get u experience in MTB fast. One thing is when u purchase this bike u can found a local bike shop that u will have to purchase the  tubes, tires, and any upgrading u want to do to it.

This is great bike for the money, the best price I found online. The ride is good and the shifting is good. The assembly was easy enough with the right tools (metric) but some adjustments needed to be made specifically on the disc brakes. Tires did need inflating in order to use it. I am not that comfortable with the seat but perhaps other people may find it okay. This bike is a bit heavy so don't expect to pick it up quickly. Over all I like it.

A Good Mountain Bike for the money

the guy that brought our bike out....i wish i had cash to tip u. God will reward you, one day. your smile and kindness were so appropriate and appreciated.

the bike is honestly great and was not to banged up even though there was a huge hole in the middle of box 😳 . also the tires are really not that great. i weight about 220 and the tires are labels as 196 lb max weight load. so had to replace innertube and tire the same day of putting the bike together whoch really sucks. but over all its a decent buget bike.

Bike rides fine but the components are much cheaper than expected.  Brakes work but are questionable. Easy assembly if you are used to working on bikes.

The bike had a warped front wheel.  The cardboard packaging had holes in it and the top was no longer secure (Open).  When attempting to dial in the shifters, one of the connectors to the shifter that adjusters the cable tension was broken on the threads.

Moderately Poor

I disregarded countless reviews of damage and poor quality. I ordered to store for pickup to try and avoid delivery damage.  They loaded an undamaged box in my car and when I got home to pull it out the front forks where bent and damaged as others have reported. 
       I wanted it to work.  I don't think I will even reorder. That much damage in a box, how can I expect it to withstand the west and tear of a teenager.

Disappointed - Damaged!!!

I ordered the Mongoose Durham 29” from Walmart.com. Out of the box it looked and smelled great! There were no blemishes, scratches or flaws on the bike. During assembly is where it all went south. While attempting to install the front wheel I was having trouble getting it into place. Upon further inspection I noticed that front fork dropout was not aligned which made it impossible to set the front wheel without damaging the front brake disc rotor. I am sad and disappointed, to say the least. I really wanted to keep this bike but it looks like I will have to return it to Walmart. Mongoose you make beautiful amazing bikes but why are they damaged when customers receive them? Asking as a concerned customer because this is a major safety issue that can cause injury and/or death. I am not opposed to working with Mongoose to see if we can work something out if they are willing and available.

Super Sad and Disappointed…..😞

The seems nice if I could have only had a non damaged bike shipped to me. I ordered one and the bike was damaged and protruding from the box and the front wheel was bent badly. So I returned and ordered a second time only to have it be damaged worse than the first one the rear derailer was bent into the rear rim. Now I am going to a different store to buy a bike that is not damaged. Very disappointing as I wanted the bike for the weekend and received the first damaged one on Wednesday and after finding it damaged I ordered again and was to receive it Friday and was good as I wanted it for Saturday only for Friday to have the second bike come damaged as well. So I had to spend more money and  buy a more expensive bike from a different retailer in order to get a bike that works and is not damaged. Very dissatisfied and just plain feel let down but this experience.
