This version is the classic game you played as a kid. Yes, some new tokens were added, but everything else is the same. I hunted for a couple of weeks trying to find this in stock somewhere, but had no luck. All of the Monopoly games on the shelf are all of the whatever version that I am not interested in. Anyway, the classic version on walmart.com was cheaper than Amazon, even with shipping. You have to have $35 at walmart.com for free shipping. Walmart even beat its own shipping estimate by two days! It was cheaper

All is good...Except for the board being folded into a square. The older version was just folded in half. The box is deceiving, online, since it's a rectangle. Everything was was good...Still fun to play!
The new tokens are a nice change...especially the penguin! Wish you'd make a set of different tokens, to  buy,  so you can add on or change them around...ie; Sloth, Laptop, SUV, Octopus, Elephant, Whale, Tiger, Lion, Bear, ...Sorry, I could go on forever. It would be a terrific gift for those who have monopoly already. (Probably everyone!)

This game has saved us during covid19
Haven't played monopoly in 15 years - I forgot how much fun this game is! Thanks to Walmart's quick shipping we had it within 2 days!!

Covid19 life saving

Remembered this game fondly from my childhood growing up in the 50's and 60's.  Introduced my teen granddaughter to this game, she loved it, and we played the first time for over 5 1/2 hours.

Brought Back Memories

Awesome game and so fun to play with my family and friends. I suggest you should play when you have free time because we stayed up all night playing this game.

Not sure why this game needs a review! It's years of production should speak for itself. I have tried some of the other versions, but I always go back to what I know best. The game gives you hours of fun, especially needed during this Covid 19, stay at home situation.

Stay at Home Fun

First off the board is a double folder. Just another moving place to wear out. A good thing is the player pieces are metal and appear good quality. The main reason I give only 2 stars. I opened the cards and was reading the options and came across a card that said money grab. It said take all the 100's out of the bank and throw them in the air. What ever a player catches they get to keep. When did they put a welfare card in Monopoly? I handed the card to my 12 year old son and said throw this away. He read it and didn't even ask if I was serious. We threw it away and that is where it is. Who at Hasbro decided to take an America tradition and put a participation award in it. Come on America you don't get something for nothing. Put the effort in.

Arrived without any packing to protect it. Entire end of game box is smashed in and I can't tell if contents are damaged without breaking the seal. This was a gift for a grandchild for three days from now.  No time to fix it.  All you would have had to do was add some packing. Very disappointed!!

Play:
Classic boardgame, really long games. Brings back memories and easy to play with kids and adults. Family friendly.

Quality:
The cards are made using low quality construction paper and the board itself is flimsy and thin. It looks like it won't last more than a couple play through. The property cards are really small, as small as the chance and treasure cards.

Compared to the old version (when the iron was still a player piece) the quality feels like something you can go to a printer and print. 

If this is a legit Monopoly from Hasbro, this is a real disappointment. I bought it since I wanted my own copy of Monopoly since my sister would be keeping the original.

I would understand if someone told me it was a couterfeit. Honestly the worth of this boardgame is probably $2, even love letter which is a $7 game is higher quality than this.

Will be returning it when possible.

Had to request a replacement the board was defective. They replaced it as promised how even the  replacement board was defective.  They gave me a refund very disappointed with the vendor. Thank you Walmart for treating me fairly.
