Monoprice

Product was shipped and arrived as expected. Product is quality CL2 rated wire. Perfect for use when running in or through walls.
Very happy with product. My wire runs (lengths) are about 50 feet. Wire quality is high, so sound quality to the speakers is as clear as if they were five feet from the stereo on professional quality wires. Used with 60-Watt 8ohm speakers.

Thumbs up to MonoPrice - speaker wire

Used to wire the loudspeakers in a home theater setup where I may or may not cover the wire with plastic conduit, so wanted the wire to be inconspicuous against a white ceiling. It works well and is quite flexible, which is generally good, but means it has to be supported every foot or so to keep it from sagging. The wire itself seems to be of good quality, and tinned easily.

Does the job

I would highly recommend this product to anyone. I haven't put it to use yet but looking at the product itself I can see the quality. After working in the automotive industry for 30-plus years you know the quality of various items, especially wiring.

Top Quality Product

I purchased this speaker wire after using it before to wire some in-wall speakers.  After having used it twice, I'm sure I'll come back for more when the time comes.  The flexibility is great and it's easy to pull through the wall.  The quality of the wires and insulation is good as well.  Factor in a very reasonable price point and it's a hard product to beat.

Excellent all-around value

Appears to be very good quality, like all the Monoprice products I've tried so far, but too stiff for use in point-to-point wiring or vehicular applications. Also the cable jacket is significantly oversized for 2 conductors, leaving a ton of spare room in the cable. The likely reason for this is that Monoprice created a single jacket for its 2-conductor & 4-conductor solutions, leaving a ton of spare room in the 2-conductor cable. In terms of stiffness, this Access Series wiring may be a little more pliable than the Monoprice Nimbus Series. Probably a decent solution for conduit or plenum applications where its stiffness would be a plus or applications where you really don't care that the jacket is taking up twice the space it should be?

Very stiff wiring

I bought a 250 foot spool and one end of the spool was loose when I opened the box.  I tried to reattach and use like normal, but the end immediately fell off when I tried to pull wire.

It made this job VERY frustrating, and I could not get the wire to come cleanly off the spool.  I had to fight all 250 feet off of that spool - untangling and untwisting the whole way.

Wire is fine, but spool fell apart

This isn?t the ?old? quality MonoPrice wire anymore.  I ordered 100ft of 16awg 4-Conductor, same exact part# 4041 as wire I purchased several years back.  Only to find it?s been changed to a much lower quality wire.  The first concern I had was the new spool, followed by the thinner white shielding that fit much tighter to the wires inside.  Realizing packaging and suppliers can change I decided to go ahead and use the new wire for my install as I?ve been very pleased with MonoPrice?s wire in the past.  I greatly regret that decision.  After running this wire for my rear speakers.  I pulled out my Klein strippers and noticed the 16awg notch wasn?t properly stripping the jacket off.  In fact I had to use the 18awg notch to properly remove the jacket, and it didn?t even scratch the copper underneath.  I pulled out a spool of the old 16awg MonoPrice wire just to check.  Sure enough on the old wire the 16awg notch cut clean and true.  Looking closer at the two wires I could see the new wire is no longer a true 
16awg, even though the wire is stamped as so.  I?d post pictures of the differences, however MonoPrice?s review setup doesn?t provide that option.  Sadly I?ll have to source my A/V products from another vendor moving forward.  It might end up costing more from another vendor, but if I can get a quality product it?ll be worth it.

The wire is WAY too stiff and causes issues.   

How stiff is it, you ask???? 

It's so stiff?.  The wire slowly putts itself out of the back of the Monolith Amp I purchased from Monoprice.  I have banana plugs with the wires but I have had to pull the amp out 3 times this month because the wires have dislodged from the Amp.  

I wish I could get a refund and get different wires to replace these so I don't have to keep doing this?.  VERY FRUSTRATING!

No good.

I ordered a 100ft spool to connect my B&W speakers to a new receiver I bought. Immediately noticed the drop in sound quality, particularly bass performance. Did not doubt the wire first because I was a skeptic on the whole speaker wire hype. However just to rule it out connected using the old wire I was using and it sounded much much better.
Had to order better wire and spend a few hundred, but it is worth it. After spending '000s on the gear, skimping on the wire does not make sense.
To summarize, if you have high end systems get better wire. It does make a difference!
