This is literally the best portable battery amp you can get. Blows away any Pignose. The sound is deep because it's a closed back, and it's actually loud enough for small shows and open-mic nights. Very happy with this purchase. Monoprice is a good company.

Fantastic Battery Powered Guitar Amp!

I was looking for a small practice amp just to mess with while laying in bed or couch with my guitar. I have a blackstar super fly which I like but It did not come with a power supply and batteries keep dying.  Anyway this little amp is both ac/dc???? so I can plug it in with its power cord.  Sounds pretty good.  Happy for 40 bucks can't beat it.

Small and affordable practice amp

This is a really good small practice amp. It is very well built with high qualify volume, gain, bass and treble knobs. The AC adapter is included (a nice touch).  It can also be powered by battery (which I have not tried). I've tried and own several other mini / practice amps before (including Fender and Blackstar). This is by far louder and more superior than the other mini amps.  I highly recommend this product.

Great portable practice amp.

I've owned or tried small Solid State practice amps over the years and found most of them overly bright and sterile.  I figured most of it was due to the small speaker as the main culprit. I was intrigued by the price and the battery powered option, and the need for a small amp for working on guitars in my lab.  I'm amazed at the clarity and low end of this amp with just a 5" speaker.  Most small low powered SS amps make it hard to discern pickup selection changes, but with this one pretty well allows you to hear the changes when making tweeks to tone/volume component changes.

At this price level this is the most convenient battery powered amp available which doesn't have an 'uninspiring' sound, discouraging you from using it.  Thinking about getting a second one for stereo effects evaluation without powering up my tube amps.  Clean sound at appropriate volume levels, the distortion setting is 'usable', not my favorite, but better SS distortion than I've heard before.

Great value and a convenient battery powered amp

I ordered this  amp for my brother who is just  learning to play. I had one of those Ammoon  1 speaker in a little box and it sounded like that too, very boxy.  You cannot appreciate a guitar that way. I looked at other amps on line suchas the Ammoond  pockamp with all kinds of effects. however, I feared the boxy sound. I took a gamble on this 10 watt amp and very happy i did. The amp sounds like as if had an amp twice the size. I am not referring to loudness, but the sound quality.  Nice overdrive as well! I would recommend this amp as a great practice amp.

Sounds like a bigger amp!

The indio 10 amp that I received was flawless. It's construction is very solid. The clean channel doesn't color the sound but has treble/bass control for EQ. I don't use overdrive so I can't comment. That would be subjective to someone who does. It may be a sound that you've been looking for or you may hate it. I find that effects that I do not like work in certain situations. Also plug in a Mpow Bluetooth receiver and you have a Bluetooth speaker and with batteries it's portable. In my opinion this is a good value for the price.

Indio 10 amplifier

The amp needs to be cranked to be heard. I have used it outside and needed to crank the bass and treble too...then it distorts, not the good kind. Still serves a purpose. I have busked with this in tandem with the smaller cube street, and it helps fill out the sound along with my zoom multi effects pedal. With shipping, I paid a little less than $50. Would be a good deal if you could get it without shipping costs. Otherwise, you get what you pay for.

needs help with volume

Sounds awesome, great little practice or camping/picnic amp.
Ours had a improperly bent battery contact that made battery install impossible.    We were able to bend the contact to get it working but battery install is still a pain.
(this was bought at 2x the price from a local store ... but i did check that it is indeed this item)  ((I'm sure if i bought it through monorprice they would have taken care of me... they always have))

great amp, minor quality control issues.

Was this amp worth $40?  Yes, but don't expect the same level of bang for your buck that I've gotten from Monoprice guitars and tube amps.  Doesn't get very loud, even for a tiny battery powered amp.  And yes, I have, and have made other tiny battery powered amps.  Meh.

Got my $40 worth

distorted. I bought two units to play stereo from my Yamaha PSR-970 keyboard. and the both distorted very badly and if I add Bass from the keyboard the amps sound muddy. I am very un happy because I wanted to use the two amps for small bars,
