Can maintain accurate temperatures, but may vary in consistency across units.

Offers customization options, but can be frustrating to use.

Can be quiet, but some units produce noticeable noise.

Can be precise, but may have inconsistent start times.

I learned about this sous vide from wire cutter. They test all kinds of products and list what their favourites are. I've only used it twice so far but so far so good. It definitely works better than a previous one I had which had an app on it and it kept shutting down every hour.

Works Great!

Used item about 4 times since purchase.  Works just as advertised.   A really good alternative to the higher priced units out there.

One Tidbit.... Checked temp with a high-quality accurate thermometer and water was within 0.2 degrees. Not bad at all.

Spot on temperature accuracy and control. Runs very quiet.  However, as far as I can tell it lacks an audio alert when it reaches temperature and when the timer is down to zero. Both are disappointing, but not show stoppers. I use my kitchen timer.

After researching this cooking method, I took advantage of this item being on sale. The previous reviews looked good aside from the expected short term and out of the box failures. This unit works quite well, and I don't miss the fact that it has no connectivity. You simply set it and walk away while it does its job. I took a chance and ordered the Everie 12 qt. container with lid and wire rack the same day, and was pleased that the device fit perfectly. If you order the container with the mount in the corner you should have a perfect fit.

My first Sous Vide experience

It is a fine product, but I had to return it due to a slight defect and replaced it with the same.

After using this for a couple of years, I'm happy to say my food has been a highlight for many guests I've entertained. I take off a star because the plastic end that covers the circuator broke off. I reached out to Monoprice to ask for a replacement part but I did not get a response. I wish it was easier to obtain replacement parts.

Enjoyable experience

Purchased as a replacement for a Joule that lasted 5 years. Right out of the box one of the one of the temperature display digits was messed up. (see photo) Doesn't give me much hope for a long product life.

The temperature readout is 15-20 degrees off what the actual water temp is. This can lead to under cooked food. This company needs better QC. I've contacted the vendor. Whats suspicious is that amazon wont let you leave a bad review for this brand.....

Cool machine but temperature is waaaaaay off

The impeller has a plastic removable cover I suppose for cleaning ease but in just 10 uses at midrange temperature, the stupid thing crystalized and broke. Being that it's the impeller housing it has rendered this thing useless. If they give me a replacement it's going to last for 10 more uses? If they give me 10 I'll get 100 uses? This ain't looking good.

Make each use count! I only got 10!
